Food safety problems are widespread in China. Are ordinary people responsible? As citizens of China, what should we do for food safety in China?
As we all know, crops, vegetables and fruits related to people's main diet are almost inseparable from chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and their toxins are of course self-evident. Even today's arable land is actually like a drug addict. It relies entirely on fertilizers and pesticides to maintain its output. Without these two things, the grain will almost be harvested. Therefore, people's staple food problem is worrying.
Of course, driven by interests, some "advanced" technologies and methods aimed at making carnivores and crops, vegetables and fruits grow faster but harmful to human body may be invented and developed at any time, which will become the expected threat to people's life and health. Moreover, foods with potential safety hazards, such as genetically modified foods, are forced to be added to people's daily diet, which adds a lot of uncertainty to the life, health and safety of China people and even future generations.
There is no doubt that people use harmful food every day, coupled with the increasingly polluted environment and water resources, and so on, people's lives and health can certainly not be guaranteed, as evidenced by the harsh reality of various diseases, especially diabetes, cancer that threatens people's lives, and the soaring incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
In fact, aside from other social problems, can it be said that the Chinese nation has reached a dangerous moment just because of a food safety issue? The affirmative answer should be said to be no exaggeration. Because, China has reached the point where all people eat toxic food, even high-ranking officials and tycoons can hardly get rid of the poison of toxic food. Sadly, those poor children may become "big-headed dolls" or "precocious children" if they are not sure what food they are eating. Then, in today's civilized society, is it sad that a nation cannot even eat safe food?
Some people joked that China has now entered an era of "mutual poison" among all people. Although the rhetoric is excessive, it still makes sense. In fact, when the unhealthy trend of marketization swept through China, it was like opening the Pandora's box of China people's selfish desires. From then on, people are mercenary and unscrupulous. In the face of new selfish desires, the Chinese nation's 5,000-year history of civilization, kindness and helping others and other traditional virtues seem so pale and powerless. Nowadays, not only all kinds of people who resell, transport and store goods in the middle are poisoning experts, but even the simple farmers have even become poisoning experts.
There is no doubt that this is a tragedy, the tragedy of the Chinese nation. It is impossible to estimate how long this tragedy will last. However, this kind of tragedy, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, all ages, is rare. This is unprecedented and unique.
For example, in the history of China, there have been many conflicts of interest, with repeated battles and defeats. But there is no large-scale "poisoning each other" and killing each other within the self. Even in the old China era, which was praised as the "sick man of East Asia" by the world, although the people were hungry and cold, the disaster was severe, but it was because the corruption and incompetence of the Qing government was related to the aggression of western powers and even opium poisoning the people of China, not because the people poisoned each other.
Now, which country or nation will poison each other? Ignore the harm of toxic food? Needless to say, strict food inspection in developed countries often gives China exporters a headache, and even the exported goods are returned to domestic sales. Africa is so poor, will it poison each other? I don't think so, because they don't have brains like China people.
In a word, the proliferation of toxic food seems to be a unique phenomenon in China.
If a society is backward in science and technology and its economy is declining, there may be many reasons and it is understandable. However, the food safety problem involving the whole people is getting more and more serious, and even people forget morality and conscience at the expense of others' health and life for a little profit, which has become the normal state that the whole society has to accept. Isn't that ridiculous?
In fact, in the past 200 years, western powers have been ignoring China. However, the enemy's advanced planes, artillery, warships and even opium failed to conquer China. But this is great. China people eat poisonous and harmful food, drink polluted water and breathe poisonous air every day. So why worry about not destroying yourself!
The ancients said: "The people are the sky for the monarch, and food is the sky for the people."
And when "people" eat toxic food for three meals a day, is this "day" reliable? If some people turn a blind eye to accidents such as mine accidents and are indifferent, it is still partial after all, so can we remain indifferent to major events that affect the life, health and safety of the people throughout the country and even the future of the nation?
