Did ancient people have love when they got married? What is the most important thing for the ancients to get married?

Perhaps not everyone knows what kind of marriage they want, and choosing a spouse has become a thorny and difficult problem at present. In modern ethics, marriage and love always need some connection, but what is love? That's really a mystery. But for the ancients, it may not be so complicated to describe their ideal marriage, because there are always many quantifiable standards besides love.

Liu Xiu, the son of the plane, lived in Nanyang before he got rich, and lived happily as a small landowner of Han descent. On one occasion, Liu Xiu seldom went to Beijing. In Chang 'an, he saw the officers on the royal patrol riding very well, so he had a famous sigh: "Officials should be golden servants."

Unearthed gold medal of Wuwei in Liao and Jin Dynasties

Jin Wu, deputy commander of the Qin Dynasty, was renamed in the Western Han Dynasty. He is an official in charge of public security in Beijing. It is said that Jin Wu was originally a bird that can ward off evil spirits, and some people say it is a golden weapon. This may be a pun. Generally speaking, each of them will have a big stick made of copper, just like gold, and they will really paint gold on both ends of the stick. This is probably a simple state that the Han Dynasty recovered from its early days. Liu Xiu, who was still an ordinary young man at that time, naturally yearned for such a scene, and the narrative mode of this story was similar to that of his ancestor Liu Bang when he first saw the emperor travel, and he felt that "a gentleman should be like this."

Liu Bang is the representative of all young people who pursue dreams in later generations. In his fifties, he finally realized his dream. His descendant Liu Xiu is very painful. He never realized his political ideal in his life. In his thirties, he laid the foundation for the world and recovered the Han Dynasty. He didn't become Jin Wuwei, but became an emperor, which is probably an alternative dream come true. After all, Liu Xiu, a junior high school student, envied the scenery of Jin Wuwei. Where can I have the scenery of the emperor? At this time, Liu Xiu finally entered Luoyang City. He also rode a handsome car and wore a high crown. Luo Zhong's elders had a very good first impression on him and said with emotion, "I haven't seen Guan Wei for a long time."

Of course, the people who look at faces in the world are not just the old people in Luo Zhong. Liu Xiu's life ideal is more famous for the second half sentence: "If you get married, you will get Yin Lihua". Yin Lihua is a famous beauty near Nanyang, Liu Xiujia. Although he later married Queen Guo, a well-off family, he met Yin Lihua humbly in order to gain the support of the local rich, which was also his boyhood dream. His heart is Bai Yueguang, his chest is Zhu Shazhi, and Empress Yin is "kind and tolerant". For many years, people were not allowed to collapse. However, Queen Guo was in a bad mood and always complained, so she finally laughed at the end and did not turn into mosquito blood.

It is uncertain whether the criteria for choosing a spouse of the Eastern Han Emperor inherited the attributes of Guangwudi's first appearance, but for the Eastern Han Dynasty, which paid more and more attention to culture and morality, most of the later queens read poetry books, most of them were familiar with classics, and some of them knew astronomical calculations. However, it is not necessarily a good thing that the wife is too capable and the father-in-law is too powerful. The problem of consorts became a cancer that plagued most of the Eastern Han Dynasty and eventually dragged it down.

In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the marriage of the most popular people in the halls was like watching, so there was no need to worry more about talent, appearance and virtue. If you are Wang Langya, you can find Chen Jun's wife. If you are from john young and you propose to Cui Shi in Boling, you must "not overstep the bounds" and never "do whatever you want", otherwise it will be called "quitting work" and will be laughed at.

Wang Langya's Wang Xianzhi has a famous story. Wang Xianzhi's original match is Mrs. Xi, and the Gaoping family and Wang Langya have always maintained a stable marriage relationship, so Mrs. Xi can be regarded as Wang Xianzhi's cousin. Later, the emperor insisted that Wang Xianzhi marry the princess, so the Wangs were forced to break off relations with the Xi family, which has always been a great regret. By the time he died, according to the Taoist healing custom at that time, he needed to tell what he had done wrong and regretted in his previous life. Wang Xianzhi thought for a long time and said a very affectionate sentence: "I feel nothing except divorcing the Xi family."

All along, everyone thinks this is a classic love tragedy. But in fact, this story is recorded in the "De" section of Shi Shuo Xin Yu. Although the people of the Six Dynasties emphasized that "Love Clock is in our generation", at least in the chapter of "Virtue", they did not collect the story of Love Clock. I'm not saying that Wang Xi and his wife have bad feelings, but there is another meaning behind this classic story.

Twenty-nine positions in Wang Xianzhi

According to the historical biography, Wang Xianzhi was strict and didn't talk to "others". If you are not a noble family, he will never talk to you. This strictly abides by the code of conduct of aristocratic families at that time. However, the divorce from the Xi family was forced by the imperial power, which was not a great shame for Wang Langya. For the nobles of the Six Dynasties, the princess was not noble at all, and nothing was more important than appropriateness. For Wang Xianzhi, there is no need to regret divorcing Mrs. Xi, but it is a lifelong shame to break off the marriage relationship with Gao Pingxi and be forced to marry the princess.

Of course, Wang Xianzhi's example itself represents the loosening of aristocratic rules. As a matter of fact, because there are so many popular names in the guild hall, there is no way to guarantee that every member of Langya Wang, Chen and Ru Nanyuan will have the right to have money and leisure, so it is convenient for the poor guild hall to marry the rich "low gate". During the Southern Dynasties, there was a member of the Wang family in the East China Sea-if you are familiar with Zhuge Liang's denunciation of Wang Lang, you will not be unfamiliar with this surname-this person's name is Roy ... and then he married his daughter to a local local local tyrant and businessman in Fuyang. When Shen Yue heard about this, he wrote a long article entitled "Playing Roy" and presented it to the emperor, demanding that he should never be hired and expelled from public office. Shen Yue is not only a weight-loss enthusiast (Shen Yue is thin), but also a busy man. He had to engage in politics, history and literature. This meddling is nothing more than breaking his heart for the purity of the aristocratic society.

Shen Yue

But the collapse of the medieval aristocratic system rolled forward like a wheel, which made the gentry sad and tasted like drinking water. Xie Tiao, as famous as Shen Yue, was born in a grateful family, but had to marry poor Wang Jingze, and eventually turned against his father-in-law.

On the other hand, "poor" businessmen are also eager to find a daughter of a noble family to improve their family status. As for each other, it doesn't matter whether they are beautiful or ugly, rich or poor, virtuous or stupid. The bride price is more important-the palace is the only standard. That's why there is the story recorded in Ghost Record. A businessman went to the temple to get a good marriage, and the temple gave him a pillow. In a trance, the businessman married Qiu's daughter and gave birth to seven sons, all of whom were secretaries. Once I wake up from my dream, everything is illusory, and I am greatly sorry. Yes, this is the familiar prototype of the story. There is a mystery in this, because "all seven sons are ministers" means that the merchant's family has flourished. Secretary Lang was a first-class official in the Southern Dynasties, and only children of aristocratic families could be such "honest officials".
