Physics in Vocal Music Essay
Everyone who has some basic knowledge of physics knows that sounds in the world are produced by the vibration of objects, and the phenomena of sound are physical phenomena. And whether it is a musical instrument or vocal music is to express music with sound, then the study of instrumental music or vocal music can not avoid these physical phenomena. As a large family of musical instruments in the stringed instruments to produce a beautiful sound, it must have the following elements: 1. vibration body - the string. 2. amplification body - the sound board. 3. *** sound body - the speaker. 4. dynamic body - the sound box. 5. -The sound box. 4. Momentum - that is, the player's hands or the bow controlled by the hands. Here we come to the erhu as an example to talk about the working principle of stringed instruments: an erhu player to play empty strings, the right hand bow, bow slowly sliding across the strings, the strings thus vibration sound, the sound in the strings on the propagation of the python skin on the side of the erhu speakers through the python skin on the python skin spread to the strings of the line of vibration into the python skin of the surface vibration, the sound is amplified, the amplified sound reverberates in the speaker, so that the single-side of the voice The amplified sound reverberates in the loudspeaker, turning the one-sided sound into stereo sound, which becomes beautiful and melodious, and this is the working principle of the erhu (Figure 1). Figure 1: In this sound generation process, the string is the vibrating body, which can be understood as the source of the sound of the erhu, and the sound emitted at this time is called the fundamental sound, which is strong and bright, but monotonous and sharp, and is not pleasant to the ear, close to the sound of playing cotton. Base note in the wonderful sound of the erhu just play a role in providing pitch, it must be amplified through the python skin, that is, amplification of the body, the speaker's **** sound, and ultimately the wonderful erhu sound that we hear. Vocal singing seems to be playing with the erhu is not related, in fact, the two principles of vocalization and the process is indeed the same. The same four elements: (Figure 2) Figure 2: 1. Vibratory body - the vocal folds. 2. amplification body - the soft palate. 3. *** sounding body - all the vocal folds and the cavity near the soft palate. 4. momentum - breath. 4. Momentum - the breath. The relationship of these 4 elements is that the breath acts on the vocal cords to produce the fundamental sound, which is equally bad and which we can't or can't hear. It travels to the soft palate, where the linear vibration of the vocal cords is transformed into a surface vibration of the soft palate. Unlike the erhu, which has only one ****ing body, the erhu also ****sounds only to amplified sounds. In vocal music there are many ****ing cavities, and many teachers divide them into thoracic, laryngopharyngeal, oral, and cephalic ****ing. I think it's too complicated and usually confuses a lot of learners, so I simplify them into the ****ing cavities near the vocal folds and the ****ing cavities near the soft palate, which ****sound the sound waves from the vocal folds and the soft palate, respectively. These two parts of the voice combine to make stereo sound, so the final sound is loud and rich, firm yet soft. So why do so many vocal learners always have a hard time producing a beautiful sound? I think the problem lies in the above 4 elements, let's talk about these 4 elements. Figure 2:First of all, let's talk about the vibrato, like an erhu, it must be very elastic and at the same time relatively stretched. 1. if the human vocal folds are long with nodules or polyps, then the vocal folds will not be elastic enough, the vibration is not balanced, and even if the sound is amplified***sound, the final sound will be difficult to listen to, as if there are a lot of pimples on the wire of the erhu strings, I am afraid that even the greatest performers will find it difficult to play beautiful music. 2. healthy vocal folds, if they are completely relaxed, or even unclosed, then there will be no synergy between the vocal folds and the breath, and of course, there will be no synergy between the vocal folds and the breath, and of course, there will be no synergy between the vocal folds and the breath. If the vocal cords are completely relaxed, or even not closed, then the vocal cords and the breath will not form a synergy, and of course the vocal cords will not vibrate sufficiently, and the final sound will not have enough volume and lack of strength. The second is to put the body, like the erhu must also be very elastic, at the same time relatively taut as shown in the figure, or with a finger into the mouth, you will feel the soft palate is located between the nasal cavity and the mouth, it can be taut upward or downward back down, of course, must be taut upward when singing, that is, almost all singers emphasize the opening of the oral cavity, which is essential to singing, to let the soft palate to maintain upward taut is to obtain a focused, bright and very penetrating sound. Keeping the soft palate taut is the core technique for achieving a focused, bright and penetrating "head voice", and it is also the trick to breaking through the high notes. Almost all singing styles require this. Breath, too deep or too shallow is not conducive to singing. Too deep breath will be very stupid, easy to stiff; too shallow is not enough strength, the amount of breath is not enough, generally put the breath of the fulcrum of the two hands on the waist no bone position is appropriate (above the ribs, the following is the hip bone). Pivot point against the upper too shallow, against the lower too deep, are not conducive to singing. As for the ****ing, I think it should be the objective effect of the breath, vocal folds, and soft palate forming a synergy of the 3 parts. Relatively strong breath through the closed vocal folds, focusing on the soft palate to keep the upward taut, at this time, the vocal folds and the soft palate will vibrate violently, inevitably triggered by the vocal folds and the soft palate near the *** sound, and ultimately the formation of a stereo effect contains a wealth of *** sound of the wonderful singing voice. In summary, vocal music is not mysterious and elusive. It has its inherent basic principles, it is related to physics, physiology, psychology, aesthetics. On the physical level, the human body is the most perfect musical instrument, and understanding this perfect instrument and how it works is essential to our vocal singing. Of course, not read and understand this article will be able to send out the most beautiful singing voice, here only explains the general principles, to master the mystery of the wonderful voice of the vocal music, or to rely on the diligent pursuit of each learner, a good teacher tireless teachings. Wish to learn vocal music or is preparing to learn vocal music in the world colleagues can get the true meaning of vocal music. /blog/static/71166257200842034942359/
