Installation sequence of Chevrolet Cheng Jing ignition coil

The low-voltage input terminals are basically the same. Plug the wire harness plug of the power supply into the terminal of the coil, and there will usually be a buckle stuck. On the high-pressure side, there are two situations:

1. If the engine is equipped with a distributor, the high-voltage end needs to be connected with a high-voltage line, that is, one end is connected with a coil and the other end is connected with a spark plug.

2. If the ignition is independent, the coil can be directly inserted into the cylinder bore. Finally, the coil is fixed on the mounting hole near the engine cylinder head with bolts.

According to the magnetic circuit, the ignition coil can be divided into open type and closed type:

The traditional ignition coil is magnetic-opening type, and its core is made of silicon steel sheet of about 0.3 mm, and the secondary and primary coils are wound around the core. In the closed magnetic type, a primary coil and a secondary coil are wound outside with an iron core shaped like III, and magnetic lines of force are formed by the iron core to form a closed magnetic circuit. The advantages of closed magnetic ignition coil are small magnetic leakage, less energy loss and small volume, so closed magnetic ignition coil is widely used in electronic ignition system.
