Is there a Tathagata in Pinghe Sanping Temple?

There must be.

If you ask, you just don't understand the pattern of temples. Temples are places where Buddhists, Bodhisattvas, abbots and Buddhists practice, and Tathagata is the most perfect practitioner in our world, so it will definitely be offered. Moreover, the place of worship must be the highest and largest hall in the temple, called "Daxiong Hall".

Go into the Hall of the Great Hero and see how many Buddha statues are enshrined in it. Generally speaking, they are enshrined like this:

1. If it is a Buddha, whether it is standing Buddha, sitting Buddha or lying Buddha, 100% is Sakyamuni Buddha, which is our Buddha (we are also called "Tathagata" under the influence of Journey to the West, but this name is not standard, because once we become a Buddha, we will have ten different names, and "Tathagata" is just one of them.

2, if it is three buddhas, then it is usually "Constant Three Buddhas" (Oriental Pure Glass World Pharmacist Buddha; Sakyamuni Buddha in the world of women; Amitabha Buddha in the western paradise) or Yoko III Buddha (previous Buddha lights, Buddha Sakyamuni in this life, Buddha Maitreya in the future);

3. If it is a Buddha+two waiters, it is Sakyamuni Buddha, with disciples Gaya (asceticism first) and Ananda (learning more) around him, and one of the top ten disciples.

4. If it is one Buddha and two bodhisattvas, it is Sakyamuni Buddha, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, collectively referred to as "Hua Yan Sansheng";

5. If it is the Five Buddhas, it is the Buddha in Five Dhyani Buddhas, East, West, North and South, referred to as "Five Dhyani Buddhas"; The central government consecrates Piluzena Buddha (also known as "Tathagata Buddha", namely Sakyamuni Buddha); To the east of the Piluzena Buddha is the Oriental Fairy Buddha and the Southern Baosheng Buddha. To the west of Pilu Temple are Amitabha Buddha in the west and Bukong Achievement Buddha in the north.

6. If it is seven buddha, it used to be seven buddha. Refers to the six buddhas before Sakyamuni, referred to as "seven buddha in the past". Seven buddha, who appeared in the female world in the past as recorded in Buddhist scriptures, and Sakyamuni was the youngest teacher. At this time, Sakyamuni Buddha is not among them, but at the last one (right hand at the entrance). Buddhism respects the right), from ① Kaye Buddha, ② detaining Sun Buddha, ③ abandoning corpse Buddha, ④ Vishnu corpse Buddha, ⑦ Vishnu floating Buddha, ⑦ detaining Nasheni Buddha and ⑦ Sakyamuni. This is rare. There is a temple called Fengguo Temple in Yixian County, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, which was the national temple in Xiao Taihou. Seven buddha is enshrined in the Hall of the Great Hero, but Sakyamuni puts it in the left hand of beginners here (maybe the Khitans didn't understand this custom).
