How to install bicycle pedals

Preparation tools: You may need a screwdriver, a wrench or a hexagon wrench, and the specifications suitable for your bicycle pedal.

Determine the left and right pedals: bicycle pedals are divided into left and right feet, and the installation position of each pedal is correctly selected according to its asymmetric shape.

Spare chassis thread: ensure that the bicycle chassis thread is clean and not damaged. If there is an old residual pedal, please make sure to remove it completely.

Apply lubricant (optional): Apply some lubricant special for bicycles to the chassis threads to facilitate the smooth installation and disassembly of pedals.

Insert the pedal into the thread of the chassis: insert the threaded part of the pedal into the threaded hole of the chassis and turn it clockwise until you start to feel resistance.

Fastening thread: Use a tool (such as a wrench or screwdriver) to rotate the pedal counterclockwise to fasten it to the chassis. Make sure that the fastening is even and there is no looseness or shaking.

Repeat the above steps: Repeat the above steps for the other pedal.

Testing and installation: ensure that the pedals on both sides are installed firmly and without looseness. Try pedaling the bicycle several times to make sure that the pedal works properly.

Please note that if you are not sure whether the bicycle pedal can be installed correctly, or have problems, please seek the help of professional bicycle maintenance personnel. They will have the experience and tools to help you complete the installation.
