What painting tools are there?

Before painting creation, we must first understand the basic tools necessary for creation. Because the painting styles are diverse and the tools used in painting are also diverse, what are the painting tools?

1. Pencil: Pencils are mainly used for drawing. Generally speaking, mechanical pencil is better. You can choose refills with different hardness according to your personal habits. You can also use wooden pencils, such as "Zhonghua" brand, and generally use HB or hard H pen.

2. Eraser: Eraser is used to erase pencil lines or do special effects on dotted paper. Be sure to use a drawing board that doesn't wrinkle and fluff the paper easily.

3. Ruler: There are generally three kinds of rulers needed for drawing: ruler, triangle ruler and cloud ruler. Rulers are generally used to draw borders and straight lines, followed by triangular rulers to draw parallel lines and right angles, and cloud rulers to draw curves. When buying a ruler, be careful not to buy a right-angled ruler, but to buy an inclined ruler.

4. Ink: Where it needs to be completely blackened, ink will be darker and more beautiful than black ink. When drawing black, you should start from the outside, carefully draw the outline along the outline of the painting, and be careful not to go out of bounds. Then, fill the pen with ink and fill the middle part.

5. Duck-billed pen: Use a duck-billed pen to draw a straight line on the ink manuscript, and the drawn straight line has neat edges and uniform thickness. When in use, the duckbill pen can't be dipped in ink directly, but it should be dipped in ink with a dipping pen or a writing brush, and then dripped from the gap of the duckbill pen, and the thickness of the drawn line segment is determined by adjusting the screw at the front end of the pen. When drawing a straight line, the pen is perpendicular to the paper, and the horizontal cable is pulled evenly, not too fast, so as to draw a uniform straight line.

6, Mike pen: Mike pen is divided into oil and water. It is often used to draw large areas of black or special effects, and can also be used to draw thin lines. Sometimes you can also use colored pens to color the manuscript, which is different from the traditional style manuscript and more avant-garde. Its effect is just like the renderings, and the strokes are obvious, which is not easy for beginners to draw well.

7. Marker: It is a commonly used coloring tool. The colors are extremely detailed. Generally 120 color, oily and water-based. Oil is usually used to color glass, celluloid, etc. We usually use a water-based pen to color the base paper. A better marker can also be combined with an air pump to form a fountain pen. Markers have many characteristics, such as transparency, softness and so on. The paintings drawn with Mark's brush strokes will be brighter and more shiny, and more convenient and faster than watercolors and gouache.

8. Black ink: Black ink works well when drawing lines, and it dries faster than ink, and it is not easy to be dissolved by water after drying. In addition, black advertising color can also be used to paint black. The advantage of black advertising color is that it will not reflect light and has a dark feeling, which is convenient for computer scanning. When using, it is forbidden to adjust too much or too little water.

9. manuscript paper: manuscript paper is used for drawing. The requirements for paper should be that no matter how many times it is drawn and rubbed repeatedly, it will not lose hair, not be damaged, and the lines dipped in the strokes will not be dizzy. It is best to choose manuscript paper with high cotton content and smooth surface. Generally speaking, the paper commonly used by professional cartoonists is comic special manuscript paper or drawing paper, watercolor paper, white cardboard and so on.

10, point paper: used for gray tone or other special effects. There are many kinds of patterns on the dot paper, the most commonly used ones are "gray net" and "gradient net", and some "environment net" and "pattern net" can be used together. There are two kinds of dot paper: paper mesh and rubber mesh.

1 1. Art knife, pen knife and screen pressing knife: Art knife is generally used for cutting screen, while pen knife is generally used for scraping screen. Therefore, skilled use of pen and knife is very important for comic production. In addition, due to the limited viscosity of dot paper, we also need to use a screen cutter to firmly stick dot paper on the manuscript paper. If there is no screen cutter, we can also use nails instead.

12. Brush: Brush can be used to paint a large area of color, or it can be dipped in white to make up the painting. But the white brush must be used separately from other brushes, and the used brush must be cleaned.

13. Drawing pen: Drawing pen is a very slender pen, which is often used to draw borders and lines with uniform thickness. The thickness of the drawing pen ranges from 0. 1mm to 2mm, but the commonly used size is 0.6mm to 0.8mm. Because the pen tip of the drawing pen is even in thickness, the drawn lines are not sharp, so it is not suitable for multiple purposes.

14. Dip pen: Dip pen is used for inking, but there are many kinds of dip pens, and the thickness and shape of the nib are different. We can choose dipping pens with different thicknesses according to what we draw. G pen tip is very elastic, and can draw lines with different thicknesses according to the strength, especially the thick lines drawn are very smooth, which is most suitable for drawing outlines. The round nib is suitable for drawing very thin lines, but it can also draw thicker lines like the G nib if it is forced, and it can change freely. On the whole, it is thinner than the G pen, so some people only use it to draw details or backgrounds.

15. Paper-making table: Because paper is divided into paper net and plastic net, especially the transparency of paper net is low, it is necessary to use paper-making table to increase the transparency of the net, so that it can be accurate when cutting and pasting the net. When using the copying table, you can clearly see the pictures on the underlying drawings through the superposition of multiple drawings, so it can also be used to describe the draft as a manuscript.

16. Transparent paper: very thin and transparent paper for painting.

17, gouache: gouache, also known as advertising color, is an opaque watercolor pigment. Can be used for thick coloring, and uneven phenomenon will not appear when coloring in a large area. Although they all belong to opaque watercolor pigments, gouache is generally cheaper than propylene; But it is slightly inferior to propylene in coloring, color number and preservation. It should be used selectively according to different purposes.

18, watercolor: The biggest advantage of watercolor is its cheapness. Of course, I'm talking about domestic brands. Watercolor is also very good if used properly. Precautions-prepare a small straw, so that the two colors will not be confused when water is taken to dilute the pigment, and the purity of the color will be maintained; Another advantage of watercolor is that it can be rendered, so remember to use thicker paper, and the original paper sold in the market will do. Because watercolor is a transparent pigment, which means it can't be covered in case of mistakes, so you must be careful step by step. Usually the color is from shallow to deep, but from deep to shallow, it will have different effects!

19, famille rose: famille rose is a kind of rod-shaped color which is insoluble in water or oil and can be directly colored, and can also be cut into powder for coloring. It doesn't need a marker or a palette. As far as hardness is concerned, it can be divided into soft pastel and hard pastel. Hard pastels are almost made into four corners. You can draw obvious lines with the edges. Both are water-based. There is also oily pastel, and crayons belong to this kind of pastel. The feeling of painting is thicker than ordinary pastels.

20. colored pencil: colored pencil is a very easy-to-master coloring tool, and the effect and appearance of painting are similar to those of pencil. There are various colors, which are made of advanced granular pigments with high adsorption and color rendering. It has transparency and chroma, can be evenly colored when used on various types of paper, and can be painted smoothly, and the refill is not easy to fall off from the core groove.

2 1, crayon: This is the closest painting material to pigment. The coloring effect is very good. But it can't make transparent bright colors like colored ink. It is very convenient to paint in a large area. However, powder will be produced in the process of use, so protective measures must be taken when preserving the works.

So much for the introduction of drawing tools.
