Sunset and sunrise, the stars, looking back to the past, history has left us too many thoughts and ideas, and this "rituals and customs of the year" is one of them. For example, the Spring Festival has become the largest traditional folk festival in China. In the ancient capital, the Spring Festival was more generally valued by the people, which also formed a complete set of Spring Festival customs. The first day of the first month of the lunar calendar is the Spring Festival, commonly known as the "New Year". The Spring Festival originated in the Yinshang period, when the gods and ancestors were worshipped at the end of the year. In ancient times, the Spring Festival was called "Yuan Day" and "New Year's Day". It was only after the Xinhai Revolution that the first day of the first month was officially named the Spring Festival.
In Beijing, from the eighth day of the lunar month, every household has to make Laha vinegar (garlic), and the "New Year's flavor" has begun. The folk song says: "Don't worry, old lady, it's New Year after Laha. How many days should I drink Laha congee? Li Li La La twenty-three ......", the 23rd day of the Lunar New Year is also known as "Xiao Nian". There is a song that says: "Sugar gourd sacrificial stove, the New Year comes, the girl wants flowers, the boy wants cannon ......." From this day onwards, Beijing people are more busy, to sacrifice the stove, sweep the house, steamed buns, shopping for New Year's goods, paste the word "Fu", paste the New Year's paintings, cut windowpane, paste couplets. Stick door god, stick hanging money, has been busy until New Year's Eve, began to celebrate the New Year.
Beijing people always put the "Fu" upside down in the door, closet, water tank, meaning that the blessing has arrived. Spring Festival couplets first began in the Five Dynasties in Hou Shu. It is said that the Prince of Shu wrote on the door of his palace, "The sky is full of blessings and the earth is full of spring." This is one of the earliest Spring Festival couplets in China. Beijing people in the house of the court posted on the "head up to see the joy", outside the house posted on the "go out to see the joy", the yard posted on the "whole courtyard bright" and other spring strips.

If the family is not well off, there are three or five offerings. Beijingers celebrate the New Year by eating, drinking and having fun, with food as the main focus. These offerings are actually prepared for people.
The New Year's Eve dinner (also known as the reunion dinner) is essential for Beijingers and is the most sumptuous dinner of the year. The New Year's Eve New Year's Eve dinner is served with meat and vegetables. There are cold meat, large and clear dishes. Cold meat has cold stewed pork, mutton, cold stewed chicken and duck. Dumplings are also always wrapped into the shape of a treasure, in the dumplings into the sugar, coins, peanuts, dates, chestnuts and so on. Such as eating to sugar, means that later life sweet; eat to copper means money to spend; eat to peanuts means longevity, because peanuts, also known as the fruit of longevity, eat to jujube and chestnuts means that early Lizi ......
One of the handover of the New Year's Eve, ushered in the New Year, first of all, we must set off the firecrackers to drive away evil spirits, burn incense and offerings to the ancestors. Firecrackers originated in the Wei Jin and North and South Dynasties, since the Song Dynasty, the Chinese began to use paper wrapped in gunpowder made of firecrackers. The people of the capital began to have the custom of firecrackers, which has been passed down to the present day.
The old Beijing people have the custom of New Year's Eve, which first originated in the Jin Dynasty. There are two meanings of year-end vigil, the older one is to cherish the time on the occasion of the resignation of the old. For the young people, it is to prolong the life of their parents. Therefore, all people whose parents are alive must observe the New Year's Eve. And then engage in some recreational activities. Elderly people play mahjong, women play Sokuhu bucket cards. The young push "pai jiu", the children are pointing lanterns, firecrackers, play "promotion figure".
After receiving the god at midnight on New Year's Eve, the whole family should pay homage to the emperor, which first appeared in the Han Dynasty as an official pilgrimage to the emperor. The old Beijing reunion has been popular since the Qing Dynasty. The whole family should first kowtow in front of the ancestral tablets to pay homage to the New Year, and then the younger generation to kowtow to the elders to pay homage to the New Year, this time the elders should give the underage generation to press the New Year's money. The custom of giving New Year's money began in the Qing Dynasty. In order to reflect the love and affection of the elders to the younger generation, but also to drive away evil spirits to take the meaning of good luck, after the reunion worship, the family gathered to eat vegetarian dumplings to receive the God, also known as five dumplings.
Beijing people from the first to the first five days of the first day of the Beijing people to strings of friends and relatives, each other to pay homage to the New Year, treats, gifts, temples, shopping in the factory. By the fifth Beijingers called "broken five", the people "send poor", businessmen "open market" (officially opened on the sixth). On the fifth day of the first month, every family has to make dumplings, which is called "pinching the little man's mouth", which means that they will not commit any crime within a year. Until the fifteenth day of the first month of the Beijing people are considered to have finished the Spring Festival.
The Spring Festival in old Beijing is actually a folk culture that can not be erased, it contains the warmth of family reunion, the old and the new ease and expectations, which is an ancient traditional festival full of joy and good ideals, has been rooted in the hearts of the people, and so it can be continued for more than two thousand years to the present.
2, "Spring Festival Customs"
Back home, the heart can be happy, the Spring Festival customs will always surprise me, the most common is the following four: eat New Year's dinner, watch the party, midnight fireworks and New Year's greetings.
On New Year's Eve, aunts and uncles and other relatives gathered together, and grandma and grandpa were full of joy and happily busy. Yes, today we are going to have New Year's dinner! "Crackling", a burst of firecrackers sounded, New Year's dinner is ready! Of course, we can't forget to eat the New Year's dinner without Grandfather Land, so we pay respect to a few joss sticks, set out a few bowls of vegetables and a bowl of rice, and ask for Grandfather Land's blessing for a good harvest in the coming year. Next, the meal is served. After the New Year's dinner, everyone sits by the stove and chats. Grandma and Grandpa are busy at this time! The New Year's dinner (also known as the reunion dinner) is one of the most important customs of the Spring Festival. No matter where they are, everyone rushes back to enjoy this wonderful time with their families***. There is always a lot to talk about during the New Year's dinner, about work, about family, and so on. The time for the New Year's dinner is not the same, as long as the family is all here, you can eat whenever you want.
In the evening, it's left to your own family. Before watching the Spring Festival gala, it was the time I was most looking forward to: collecting the New Year's money. Congratulations to the rich, bring the red packets! A big uncle, a little uncle, a grandmother ...... everyone is busy, it's time to sit down and rest, so we reunited to watch the Spring Festival gala. We are watching and chatting, as if we can't say enough. Finally got to 12 o'clock, the midnight fireworks are about to be set off! "Boom!" A salute went off, and the sky was suddenly covered with a colorful coat of colors. As the first salute went off, various styles of fireworks were set off in unison, and a beautiful hat was hung on the roof of each house. The sound of the fireworks was deafening and the colorful fireworks dazzled me. My great aunt and I ran up to the roof to watch the fireworks, and I was so excited that I jumped, "I really didn't waste my hard time staying up until 12 o'clock this time, this is really spectacular!" Midnight fireworks, there may be a custom in every place, or it may be a custom unique to our hometown, but it's all the same, I've seen it and you've heard about it!
This day, is the first day of the year, just got up, heard a New Year's sound outside the door: "To your old man to pay New Year's ah!" "Hey! Coming coming, Happy New Year!" "Happy New Year!" At this time, Grandma was busy making breakfast, while Grandpa was busy greeting people. "Why don't you have a seat?" "No, no." This kind of conversation is always heard many times. I hurriedly finished my breakfast and went out with my brother-in-law and the others. My brother-in-law's twin daughters, Zi Yi and Zi Qian, were carrying a bag each, and the contents of the bag increased a little bit every time we arrived, which made them very happy. The so-called New Year's greeting is to go from house to house, sometimes sitting for a while, chatting and so on. And the kids carry a bag of candy. For the record, I don't have any!
3, "Into the Spring Festival"
Looking forward, looking forward, the winter vacation came, the footsteps of the Spring Festival is close.
Finally got through the winter vacation, completely liberated, I took a long breath. From now on I can spend my time, do not care about dad, mom's "attention" eyes, quietly enjoy my share of happiness and freedom. Do not worry about their own sound sweet dreams by the abominable "little rooster" alarm clock wake up, do not worry about their own in the cold winter morning carrying heavy schoolbag walking alone, do not worry about their own in the accompaniment of a lone light to complete the "mountain" like homework.
The downside is that the final results were not ideal, and did not meet the goals set by mom and dad, who took back a "Progress Star" award instead of the "Three Good Students" award they had in mind. The three family dreams of the Spring Festival may be dashed: KFC dinner is not expected, the New Year's money to discount, Jordan sneakers do not dare to hope for ----- -
Hey, it seems that the taste of this winter vacation life seems to be a bit bitter ah! A phone ringing, is the mother called, she so want to guess my mind, let me do not think too much, smile, everything will pass, nothing to the street to stroll around.
I took a little pocket money from my piggy bank and walked down the street, everything seemed to feel new. The street is usually sparse, but today people suddenly "popped up" a lot of people, the street is also piled up on both sides of the many cheap and beautiful New Year's goods, naturally, ushered in a lot of pedestrians' attention. The most eye-catching: full of New Year's blessings through a wisp of ink couplets, luscious red lanterns of different sizes, the structure of the delicate appearance of the beautiful red Chinese knot, they *** with the composition of a Spring Festival before the brightest scenery, in the cold winter added a touch of red warm colors, let my eyes for a bright.
"Flowers for sale, there are beautiful phalaenopsis orchids!" Following the voice I saw a girl selling flowers, in front of the flower stall surrounded by a lot of people, I squeezed through to join in the fun. This is a sea of flowers, there are valuable monarch orchids, there are beautiful Phalaenopsis orchids, there are lush green Bamboos, there are many potted flowers that can not be named ------ these beautiful flowers in the green leaves accompanied by the vibrant, even the air is filled with the fragrance of flowers. Many people smile and buy their favorite potted flowers, almost no need to bargain, quickly sold out. They brought home the beauty, they brought home the joy, and they brought home the spring.
The Spring Festival is like a doll that has just landed on the ground, new from head to toe; the Spring Festival is like a flowery little girl, smiling at us ------
