The Style of Wang Yeting's Works

Wang Yeting was a famous ceramic artist in Jingdezhen in the early 20th century. His landscape paintings have been admired and imitated by later generations, which have fully influenced for more than half a century. He has been an artist for more than 30 years and has never left Jingdezhen. He has created many exquisite works representing that era, which have been favored by collectors all over the world and are scrambling to collect them. Wang Yeting made unremitting efforts to make progress from art and learn from others to broaden his mind. We must carefully read and ponder the works of famous artists of all ages, appreciate their styles, understand their artistic conception and learn their connotations. He admired the preciseness of Song people's landscape, the boldness of Ming and Shen, the beauty and simplicity of Wang Qing's stone drum, and Shi Tao's creative spirit of "searching all the strange peaks and doing everything". Jingdezhen, located in the Fuliang Mountain area in the northeast of Jiangxi, and the neighboring famous temples Qimen, Wuyuan, Huangshan and Leping all left Wang Yeting's footprints. He learned from mountains and rivers, collected natural artistic conception and conceived painting.

Wang Yeting's pastel landscape is unique. Thanks to the innovation of technology and art, he took the lead in decorating bottles with the chapter of "Unified Landscape", which opened a new style of pastel landscape decoration in Jingdezhen in the early 20th century. The so-called panorama is to spread a picture on a cylindrical container with complete composition, so that people can see the perfect picture from any angle. That is to say, a whole picture scroll connecting mountains and rivers, environment and atmosphere is laid out on various shapes of utensils, which changes the old habit of landscape decoration that only painting on one side, carving on the other side, or painting in the square of splendid land. There are mountains outside the mountains in nature, with endless flowing water and myriad artistic conceptions. It is a four-season landscape made in heaven. When the method of "Tongjing" expresses the natural landscape, it makes the painter meditate on the artistic conception of "the source of the landscape is nowhere to be found, and the wanderer walks in the landscape" In the history of ceramic painting, flowers, birds and patterns are mostly painted in a small area with distinctive patterns. Wang Yeting's landscape paintings are connected by mountains and rivers, and the clouds are light and the wind is light, forming a complete 360-degree composition without a trace of reluctant connection.

Since the publication of Tongjing Landscape, it has been used by colleagues in Jingdezhen for nearly a hundred years. Wang Yeting's achievements in famille rose art and craft are also reflected in his commitment to the technological transformation of landscape in ink painting. Traditional ink-wash landscape paintings are usually painted with "brilliant ink", but Wang Yeting found a new method, using pearls as painting materials and then impressing them with Snow White. Can be meticulous, can be bold and unrestrained, can be pure line drawing, can be used in a variety of ways, can be dyed and rubbed, and do whatever you want. After firing, you can see a layer of elegant purple protecting the picture, which makes the picture particularly soft and elegant, rich in layers and full of charm. His ink-colored porcelain painting "Jiangshan Map" drawn by this new method won the prize in Panama Expo 19 15 with unique new techniques. After winning the prize, friends from America and Japan came to Jingdezhen and invited him to go abroad for development. In order to develop Jingdezhen ceramic art, he decided to politely refuse. Wang Yeting's pastel craft reform enriched the times style of Jingdezhen pastel landscape painting. During the years when Japanese invaders invaded China, Jingdezhen's porcelain industry became increasingly depressed. Unwilling to make a living, Wang Yeting had to put down the porcelain brush and pick up the paper brush to sell the paintings of the registered permanent residence. Unexpectedly, it changed its course and worked day and night, but it created its foundation of rain and snow scenery. The snow pen holder he painted has a profound meaning, and the rain drops ink, which is magnificent. After the world of paper painting, people came to ask for paintings, which were widely circulated in Leping, Jingdezhen, Nanchang and Shanghai.
