Why are there legends about Mo Xie?

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in Mo Xie, the state of Yue was rich in gold and iron, and a number of sword casting masters emerged, among which the master was the most famous. Later, the general came to Wu and married. He Lv, the king of Wu, was drafted into the army because he loved swords. In order to forge swords, the King of Wu sent people to buy the best gold and iron in Yue, and ordered cadres to forge swords within three months, otherwise they would be condemned by beheading. Mo Xie and his wife worked day and night for two months, but the gold and iron in the furnace still didn't melt. Seeing that the deadline is coming, the couple are at a loss. The lieutenant said that in order to cast a sword within the time limit stipulated by the King of Yue, both the master and the mother jumped into the furnace to melt gold and iron and cast a good sword. Hearing this, Mo Xie decided to die for the sword. The lieutenant pondered for a long time, saying that human fur claws are made of the blood of mom and dad, which can melt gold and iron. So, Mo Xie cut off her long hair, her nails and threw herself into the blazing fire. 300 boys and girls struggled to add charcoal and blow, and suddenly gold and iron blended together, finally casting the "male and female swords" of a Chinese odyssey. The male sword is decorated with tortoise shell pattern, which is called "Ganjiang"; The female sword is decorated with water ripples and named "Mo Xie".

However, there are also different records. For example, in Wudi Ji, it is said that Mo Xie jumped into the furnace and made a sword. Biography and Search for Ji Shen even arranged descendants for the general Mo Xie, and showed the craftsman's power through tortuous revenge plots: the general only gave the female sword of the king of Wu, but kept the male sword in his possession. When the prince of Wu finds out, he will put the lieutenant to death. Mo Xie's son is a lieutenant who wants revenge when he grows up, but the prince of Wu is ready. Fortunately, a chivalrous man was willing to avenge him, so his brow ruler handed the male sword to the chivalrous man and committed suicide. In the name of offering men's swords and eyebrows to the heads of rulers, the chivalrous man finally died with the prince of Wu.
