New rhyme of traditional poetry

The ancient rhyme is based on the ancient four tones, and the new rhyme is based on the present four tones.

The four tones in ancient times include flat tone, rising tone (reading three rising tones), falling tone and entering tone. Today's four tones are flat tone, rising tone, rising tone (reading four rising tones) and falling tone. There are many rhyme books in ancient rhyme, among which Jiyun and Guang Yun are famous. When poets write poems and lyric poems, they generally respect the rhyme of flat tones. Now they can write poems with both ancient rhyme and new rhyme, but it is generally stipulated that whoever uses new rhyme should indicate the word "new rhyme" in front to avoid confusion.
