Dai people in China are mainly distributed in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Dehong Autonomous Prefecture, Gengma and Menglian Autonomous County. In addition, there are Dai people scattered in more than 30 counties of Jingdong, Jinggu, Pu 'er, Lancang, Xinping, Yuanjiang and Jingping.
