Translation

Confucius said, "Education is available to all, regardless of race."

Commentary

Confucius had his own uniqueness in terms of the targets of education, the content of teaching and the goals of training. He organized education, reflecting the reality of the downward cultural shift at that time, the situation of learning in the government was changed, and all other classes and strata had the possibility and some kind of opportunity to be educated, except for the sons and daughters of aristocrats who could be educated. He recruited a wide range of disciples, regardless of race or clan, to be educated under him. Therefore, we say that Confucius was a great educator in ancient China, who created the precedent of private schooling in ancient China and laid down the basic ideas of traditional Chinese education
