Why is there no physical competition in China Wushu?

My feeling: Wushu is a complete set of theoretical action system handed down from generation to generation, which combines many traditional cultures such as philosophy, medicine, aesthetics and art of war. It has typical characteristics of oriental classical sports, so its manifestation is different from that of modern western competitive sports, and it does not emphasize physical confrontation but cultivation. So there are complete and diverse routines, skill exercises and so on.

In addition to martial arts fighting skills, some boxing styles are very close to actual combat, but because they are not developed according to the rules of the game, they are more focused on attacking weak links such as human body, but they do not conform to the rules of the ring. So I think it is far-fetched and ridiculous to wrap our ancient martial arts in the coat of western competitive sports, so I think Sanda is the only way to make martial arts like fighting.
