How much taper does it take to play 12 beads?

Whether beginners or skilled people, the choice of rubber band tension involves the configuration problem. At present, the popular saying is that the traditional bow uses four strands 1745, and it is more suitable for beginners to choose four strands 1842. 1745 four-strand short draw can drive No.9 bead, 1842 can take No.8 bead at most, but when it comes to No.9 bead, the kinetic energy is slightly worse. Of course, at present, all kinds of competitions limit the steel balls to no more than 8 mm, so too much tension is just excess kinetic energy. In addition to the instability of the forehand, the beads with large pulling force are also difficult to pinch in the back hand, which makes it difficult to pinch. My configuration is 1842 four strands 1632, and the pulling force is equivalent to Jiuzhu 1745. Playing with 8 beads still feels like I can't hold it.

For bows with flat skin, the configuration is different in summer and winter. Take the 8-bead configuration with long drawing distance as an example, the taper of 20/ 12 can be selected in summer, and the thickness of 0.5-0.6 is enough. In winter, the rubber band obviously releases force, with constant taper and thickness of 0.65 ~ 0.75. I am used to using 0.55 in summer, 0.65 in spring and autumn and 0.75 in winter.

Flat leather bow requires higher configuration. Not only can we not lack kinetic energy, but also avoid excessive kinetic energy, because the flat leather bow plays a taper to increase the distance, with good rebound and high muzzle velocity. Once the kinetic energy is excessive, the rubber band will be pulled away, and the front and rear hands will be slightly misplaced, and there will be missiles and even bow arms.
