In the Qiang folklore, there is a legend about the origin of puttering. A long time ago, the Qiang people moved south to the upper reaches of the Minjiang River and fought a war of survival with the local "Gogi people". At the critical moment, the Qiang people selected a group of strong warriors to form a spear army, and defeated the Gogi people with the help of the God of Heaven, Qipolle. But when the heroes were chosen at the celebration, no one was willing to name their own merits. So the warriors would remove the pointed spears to make a thrusting contest, with the winner toasting one bowl of wine and the winner three times toasting five bowls. As a result of the rounds, the warrior with the greatest strength was chosen as the hero. Later, this form as a putt-putt activity in the Qiang village passed down.

Two people opposite each other, the defense party half crouched on the ground, holding one end of the wooden pole clamped between the legs, the attacking party holding the other end of the force forward push.
The attacking and defending sides face each other, and the wooden pole stays horizontal, so it can't swing up and down or suddenly push hard.
