Ma Si village

Ma Si Village in Yuanzhou Town is one of the 13 Neolithic sites discovered in Huizhou City. The grid layout of houses, ancestral temples and temples in the village shows the development track of Masi ancient village architecture. The buildings in the village are all arranged in a grid, with blocks arranged in rows and alleys, which looks like a "big chessboard".

"Red stone half wall, blue brick facing the building" is the architectural style of the village, which has a typical Lingnan architectural style in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Houses are located on both sides of the roadway, in a line from east to west. About ten rooms are a unit, and murals of various figures and landscapes are painted under the eaves, or reliefs of figures, flowers and birds are carved with gray oil.
