The original bustling scene is gone now, leaving only a few apprentices guarding the store door. This situation remained until the founding of New China. When the people of the whole country devoted themselves to the production of rebuilding their homes with great enthusiasm, the cause of traditional Chinese medicine also began a new development. Later, Fang Huichuntang sold the old house in Qinghefang to Shangcheng Taxation Bureau for 30,000 yuan, and moved the base camp to Wangxianqiao area (now Zhongshan Middle Road) to continue the wholesale business of medicinal materials. Although he still keeps in touch with many old customers, business is still not as good as before. The lack of funds makes Fang Huichuntang unable to operate normally, and often can only maintain the basic life of employees, and the business is very light. After struggling for three years, it was finally merged into Hangzhou medical station from 65438 to 0956 in the nationalization of public-private partnership. At this point, Fang Huichuntang, who has experienced more than 300 years of wind and rain, finally withdrew from the historical stage and put an end to it for the time being. On the eve of liberation, it was on the verge of bankruptcy and merged into Hu Qingyu Hall after 1955. Until 1956, the state carried out socialist transformation of private enterprises, merged them into state-owned wholesale enterprises and became a member of wholesale firms.
