What is the content of learning in the ancient Chinese academy?
The Four Books and Five Classics: The Four Books and Five Classics are collectively referred to as the classical works of Confucianism. The four books refer to the Analects of Confucius, Mencius, the University of the Meanwhile, the five sutras refer to the Classic of Poetry, the Book of Changes, the Book of Rites, the Book of Changes, the Spring and Autumn Annals. The Book of Rites usually consists of three rites, namely the Rites of Passage, the Rites of Zhou, and the Book of Rites. The Spring and Autumn Annals are usually published separately from the Zuo Zhuan, Gongyang Zhuan, and Gu Liang Zhuan, which explain the Spring and Autumn Annals, as the text is too brief. The name of the Four Books began in the Song Dynasty, and the name of the Five Classics began with Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty.
