What are the three elements of news?

The three elements of news are novelty, fact and report.

"New" includes two situations, one is that the reported fact has just happened, and the other is that the reported fact has happened and has just been revealed. Either of these two "newness" involves the elements of news.

Facts have real meaning at the same time. In theory, fake news is not news, because there is no news without real facts. Even if fake news has all six elements, it is not news.

"Reporting" is the way news is formed. Without reporting, the latest facts can't be news. These three elements of news are indispensable and contain each other.

Extended data:

Structurally, each piece of news generally includes five parts: title, introduction, theme, background and conclusion. The first three are the main parts, and the last two are the auxiliary parts. Titles generally include reference titles, main titles and sub-titles; Introduction is the first paragraph or sentence at the beginning of news, which briefly reveals the core content of news.

The subject is the backbone of the news, expressing the theme with sufficient facts, and further expanding and explaining the content of the lead; Background refers to the social and natural environment in which news takes place. Background and conclusion can sometimes be implied in the text. When reading news, we should pay attention to its six elements (that is, the six narrative elements): people, time, place, the cause, process and result of events.
