How to add page numbers from the back of the table of contents in 07 version of word?

In the version of word 2007, the method of adding page numbers from the back of the table of contents is as follows:

1. Open the word document and move the cursor to the beginning of the next page in the table of contents, as shown in the figure below.

2. In the Page Setup tab under the Page Layout tab of the menu bar above, click Next Page under Separator, as shown in the following figure.

3. After the separator is set, the page and text in front of the document directory (including the directory) are divided into 1 section and 2 sections, which is to set the page number format. Click Footer in the Header and Footer tab under the Insert tab in the upper menu bar, as shown in the figure below.

4. Select the footer style from the drop-down menu at the foot of the page, such as "Traditional", as shown below.

5. After inserting the footer, we can see that the directory is section 1 and the text is section 2. Then, because the header and footer are both linked to the previous header, the page numbering starts from the table of contents page.

6. Move the cursor to the header and footer respectively, and then click the "Link to the previous header" option in the menu bar above to make it colorless and closed (if the words "same as the previous section" are no longer displayed, the second section will be closed), as shown in the following figure.

7. Delete the footer of the directory page, and we can see that the footer of the body page has not changed. Move the cursor to the footer of the text, then click "Page Number" in the menu bar above, and select "Format Page Number" in the page number drop-down menu to set the page number.

8. In the Set Page Number dialog box, select the Start Page Number option under Page Number, and then click OK.

9. After the setting is completed, return to the word document and check the file coding from the page after the directory, that is, the page number of the text, as shown in the figure below.
