According to Lin Zhong, director of Jiangyin Economic Development Zone, before the development, the traffic in Jiangyin Peninsula was blocked, and before the opening of Shugang Xinjiang Highway, the central and northwest parts of the development zone were now called "Siberia" of Jiangyin; All kinds of energy are in short supply, and water and electricity are in short supply. This reservoir can only meet the demand of agricultural water. Adhering to the principle of "prospering the district with Hong Kong" and building a big port are the primary tasks of Jiangyin Economic Development Zone. It is understood that Jiangyin Port Area * * * has five working areas, of which the first phase of planning Jiangyin Wharf Working Area has a coastline of 14.6 km, and 55 berths can be built, with a maximum berth of 250,000 tons. Ships or containers of Maersk, CMA, Evergreen, China Shipping, Wanhai, COSCO, Koryo, Yangming and many other global shipping giants operate here, and their economic benefits have grown rapidly, making them an economy on the west side of the Taiwan Strait.
Since the establishment of Jiangyin Port, it has always adhered to the principle of "based on the west coast, looking at the world, being a first-class port and providing five-star services". Fuzhou Xingang International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. was awarded the honorary title of "Top Ten Container Ports in China" in the "China Excellent Container Ports" held in Guangzhou in 2006 and 2008. The charm of coming to Jiangyin Economic Development Zone lies not only in the excellent port operation conditions, but also in the 60 square kilometers of available land behind the port and the vast hinterland around Jiangyin. Last year, Fukang Pharmaceutical achieved an industrial output value of 65.438+0.4 billion yuan, becoming one of the top ten private enterprises and top ten taxpayers in Fuqing. The first phase of Guodian Jiangyin Power Plant started in February 2004 with a total investment of about 5.43 billion yuan and was completed in 2007. Although the living and production conditions were extremely difficult at the beginning, with the strong support of the government, the development zone changed its backward appearance bit by bit. With the continuous improvement of a series of infrastructure such as land reclamation and road construction, more and more enterprises are pouring into Jiangyin Economic Development Zone.
Today, eight years later, the 6-square-kilometer storage and logistics land behind Jiangyin Port has retained international and domestic logistics giants including Maersk and COSCO, and developed 6,000 mu of land in the starting area and built factories. Jiangyin Economic Development Zone has reclaimed 35,000 mu of shallow sea beaches in the east and west to build a platform for the development of port industries. Major projects such as CPP project of China National Chemical Corporation, Southeast Electrochemical Company and Yao Long Chemical Relocation Project have successively landed, which will greatly enhance the industrial level and level of the development zone and speed up industrial agglomeration. At present, the hydropower infrastructure in Jiangyin Peninsula can fully meet the needs of accelerating the development of port-facing industries: there are 35,000-volt and 1 100-volt substations in the area, Fujian LNG gas transmission trunk line crosses Jiangyin Peninsula, and Jiangyin Waterworks of Dongzhang Reservoir supplies 6,543,805 tons of raw water and 30,000 tons of purified water daily. By the end of next year, the water supply capacity will be doubled. In addition, there are Fuzhou Bonded Logistics Park and Fuqing Export Processing Zone behind the port area, and there are two special customs supervision zones behind a provincial economic development zone, which is rare in China. At present, the work of integrating the functions of Fuqing Export Processing Zone, Fuzhou Bonded Logistics Park, Railway Logistics Park and Jiangyin Port Area to declare the establishment of a bonded port area has been reported by the Fujian provincial government to the State Council for approval, and the superposition of more favorable policies will greatly boost the development of the development zone. Up to now, Jiangyin Economic Development Zone has attracted 87 projects with an investment of 73.35 billion yuan. The vigorous development of economy is inseparable from good traffic construction. In addition to focusing on developing the port-facing industry, Fuqing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government has also accelerated the construction of the port-dredging road network to improve the infrastructure of Jiangyin Economic Development Zone and improve the cargo distribution capacity. The Jiangyin Port Railway Branch Line Project and Jiangyin Port Shugang Expressway, which have been started one after another, are expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 20 1 1 year. At present, the project has completed the preliminary work such as the construction of access road and entered the normal construction stage; The Jiangyin section of the railway branch line of Jiangyin Port is about12.22km long, and land reclamation for large-scale logistics freight yard started in July this year. It is not difficult to predict that the construction of Jiangyin Port-dredging Road Network will make Fuqing and Jiangyin Industrial Zone as the "South Wing" of the provincial capital and a new economic growth zone more worthy of the name, and will also create more convenient conditions for gathering and distributing port-facing industries in Jiangyin, and at the same time, it is of great significance to improve the infrastructure of Jiangyin Peninsula and promote the deep development of the north and south wings of Fuzhou.
At present, Jiangyin Economic Development Zone has formed a "five horizontal and three vertical" high-grade road network, and is equipped with street lamps. The green areas on both sides of the road are like carpets, and full of green shows great vitality. In addition, Jiangyin Economic Development Zone has started the supporting construction of Jiangyin New Port City.
