What are the famous customs in Wenzhou?
Too many! In festivals, besides singing and dancing, folk lanterns are popular for people to enjoy. These lanterns are made by craftsmen of all ages. They are beautifully made and have local characteristics. On the Lantern Festival, pearl lanterns in Zhou Pu, a southern suburb of Wenzhou, have the most local characteristics. Pearl lanterns are also called "pearl hoard" and "pearl". It has been recorded in the Ming Dynasty: "Lantern Festival ... sometimes uses bamboo, pearls, silk and straw lamps to distinguish itself, which is indescribable" (Jiang Zhun's Talking about the Sea). The pearl lanterns now preserved in Tan Xuan Temple, Zhongbu, Bozhou, Wenzhou, are said to have been made in Kangxi (1662~ 1722) of the Qing Dynasty, with a history of 300 years. The bead lamp consists of nearly 70 beads with different shapes. Beads are made of fired colored porcelain or glazed beads, including 80 beads with "Liu Hai Qian Wen", 65,438+050 streamers and 65,438+056 nets. There are three couplets hanging under the six corners, and the decorative patterns are all made of colored beads. The lamp is hexahedral, more than 4 meters high and weighs more than 400 kilograms. The circumference of the lamp12.3m is divided into three layers to form a whole. In the middle of the first floor is the largest octagonal lamp, with eight landscapes, flowers, birds and silk paintings. The original pattern of "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" made of beads around this lamp cannot be restored. In the middle of the second floor is an exquisite hexagonal lamp with three landscape paintings and three poems made of beads. The words are: "Spring is a treasure, and the night comes and falls", "The moon shines on thousands of cities, and the lights shine on thousands of wells", "The sky is beautiful, and people make a good night". In the middle of the ground floor are Buddha beads and lotus lanterns. In the Ming dynasty, this kind of lantern already existed. "The village paste is like a dragon's tail, the board is cut, the machine turns to a pulley, and the lantern is at the top. From the golden drum, it is called Dragon Boat Lantern. " (Mingjiang Zhun "Talking about the Sea") During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, this lamp prevailed in Wenzhou. In Zhang's Diary of Du, it is also recorded that the Lantern Festival (Ruian) Meigang Lantern Festival is "the last Iraqi lantern, about 6 meters high and 3 meters long and 3 meters wide, with miscellaneous brushes and ichthyosaurs in it, which is particularly eye-catching." Jewelry Dragon was developed on the basis of Ping Long. It is 3 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2.5 meters high, which is the structure of the big dragon boat. The front is the faucet, the back is the dragon tail, and the middle is divided into 5 to 7 layers. Each layer is pasted with colorful and fine-line carved paper. When the light is lit in the belly of the dragon, the light will reflect the colorful carved paper around it. There are more than 70 high-rise pavilions on the Dragon Boat, which are exquisitely made and carved, and have the national style of China's architectural art. There are nearly 300 silk figures in the pavilions at all levels, forming more than 80 operas, the contents of which are based on traditional plays or folk stories such as The Three Kingdoms and Yue Chuan. These characters have vivid and beautiful shapes and bright clothes. There are large and small wooden gears on the dragon lantern, which can pull all the opera characters. There is a wave hand below, 1 person operation. As long as they wave their hands, those characters will move and make different actions, which are interesting and lovely, with strong local color and unique artistic style. Nowadays, every Lantern Festival, the village jewels and dragon lanterns cruise everywhere, and some old people and women burn incense and pray. This kind of dragon lantern has been carefully processed by border folk artists and exhibited as a traditional handicraft in various parts of Shanghai, which has been well received by Chinese and foreign audiences. The activities of the above-mentioned jewelry dragon lanterns are generally held on the 10th to 16th day of the first lunar month, and on the 7th and 7th nights of the seventh lunar month. Nearby "dragon lanterns" will gather in temples to "receive sacrifices" (that is, burn them with fire), which is called "sending dragons to heaven". Therefore, the night of the 16th day of the first month is called "Dragon Lantern Festival", which is the most lively and grand night. Dragon boat lanterns in various villages gather together for fun and singing opera, then sprinkle sesame seeds and mung beans, and they will explode when burned. Before the "mourning", we should let the masses comment on the craft level of the dragon lantern, especially the large-scale innovative carving with fine lines at the tail of the dragon lantern, named "dragon tail flower", and make a serious comparison and strict evaluation. It is a great honor to be called the "seven leading brothers" who won the first prize.
