The five major projects in China refer to
The five major projects in China include "Hybrid Rice" project, "Mu Us Desert" project, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Shanghai Tower and Beipanjiang Bridge. In addition, the four-Tibet Railway and the South-to-North Water Transfer Project are sometimes called the five major projects in China. 1. "Hybrid Rice" Project Popularly speaking, the success of hybrid rice has solved the problem of feeding more than one billion people in China. China is a big agricultural country, but it is also a populous country. The success of hybrid rice has enabled the limited cultivated land to feed a huge population and solved the most basic problem of food and clothing. When it comes to hybrid rice, I have to mention Grandpa Yuan Longping. As the inventor of hybrid rice, Grandpa Yuan Longping is also known as the father of hybrid rice. Hybrid rice not only increases China's grain production, but also is widely used in many countries in the world, such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries. It is a method that benefits people all over the world. Second, "Mu Us Desert" Project Mu Us Desert, also known as Ordos Sandy Land, is located at the junction of Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia provinces. It is one of the four major sandy lands in China, with a total area of 42,2 square kilometers, and nothing grows. After 4 years of tenacious fighting in China, it was finally successfully subdued. As the saying goes, "The merit lies in the present and the benefit lies in the future", and the desert turns into an oasis. This unthinkable thing was done by China people. It took 4 years to change their fate and complete this feat, telling the world what man can conquer nature. III. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world. As a cross-border passage connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is regarded as the "backbone" of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's interconnection and plays an important role in the construction of Greater Bay Area. In addition to the bridge, the bridge also includes two artificial islands of 1, square meters and a 6.7-kilometer undersea tunnel, which is the most difficult to build in the world. There is a saying in the bridge industry that "bridge construction should look at Europe and America in the 197s, Japan in the 199s and China in the 21st century", and China once again proved its strength to the world. 4. Shanghai Center Tower Shanghai Center is a dream about Shanghai that was planned 2 years ago. It is located in Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It is 632 meters high and has 127 floors. It is the tallest skyscraper in China and the second tallest skyscraper in the world at present, and it can accommodate 35, people. This is the first time for engineers to imagine a vertical city. The building uses a double-layer glass curtain wall and its shape spirals up. The interior design follows the concept of environmental protection, creating a more environmentally friendly and comfortable future space. V. Beipanjiang Bridge Beipanjiang Bridge is the tallest bridge in the world today. It spans Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, with a total length of 1341.4 meters and a vertical distance of 565 meters from the bridge deck to the river valley. After opening to traffic, the journey from Xuanwei City in Yunnan to Liupanshui in Guizhou was shortened from about 5 hours to more than 1 hour. In May 218, Beipanjiang Bridge won the gustavus Gold Award in the 35th International Bridge Conference. In September of the same year, certified by Guinness World Records Co., Ltd., a world record certification institution, the vertical height of Beipanjiang Bridge deck from the river surface reached 565.4 meters, winning the title of "the highest bridge in the world" and entering the annals of world records.
