As early as the period of Jing Yun in Tang Ruizong, Ding Ru, a coachman in Zhangzhou, had a poem praising narcissus: "Jin Yuan came to Danli, and the waves cleared out." The breeding ground of daffodils is at the southern foot of the round mountain on the Jiulong River in Zhangzhou City. Here, the sun warms the earth in the morning, but it is blocked by the round mountain in the afternoon. The round mountain is fertile and soft, and the Jiulong River is clear and sweet. Under this unique natural condition, the cultivated daffodil bulbs are of course full and strong. People carefully carve daffodil bulbs with knives to expose the buds inside, then put them in porcelain pots and feed them with water. Narcissus bulbs will grow into wonderful shapes according to people's wishes This is what Huang Tingjian said in his poem, "Fairy Ling Bo is beautifully dressed and beautiful as a hundred flowers." There are countless poems about narcissus sung by scholars in past dynasties.
