There is a sea breeze tower in Wudi, Shandong. Does anyone know when it was built?

Haifeng Pagoda, known as Tang Pagoda in history, was originally named Xueyuan Temple Pagoda. It was built in the 13th year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (AD 639) with the inscription "Jian Peijun, Wei Chijingde", which is over 1300 years ago. The original tower is octagonal brick structure, with dense eaves, blue bricks reaching the top, cornices protruding from the corners, and copper bells on the corners. Tower body 13, the first stage has one door in the north and one door in the south, and each stage has one door in the south, with a phase wheel at the top. The whole tower is about 36 meters high. During the maintenance in the Ming Dynasty, Yang Wei, a senior official of the official department, wrote a letter to rebuild the Xueyuan Temple Tower and carved a stone to erect a monument. In the 7th year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1668), Xueyuan Temple Tower cracked in the January earthquake. In the 14th year of Guangxu (AD 1888), the earthquake occurred in May, Taban, 1957. Because the tower was seriously damaged and in danger of collapse, it was reported to the relevant provincial departments for approval to dismantle the tower above the surface.

199 1 In June, Wudi county party committee and county government decided to rebuild the sea breeze tower. In July of the same year, 12 broke ground and was completed in September. 1992. The newly-built sea breeze tower is located 50 meters north of the former site of Tangta. The new tower is an octagonal pavilion, *** 13, 42 meters high. As a frame structure, the tower has nine octagonal cement columns in the center and large blue bricks on the outside, which is simple, elegant, firm and durable, and not only maintains the style of the Tang tower, but also innovates in the architectural structure. Mr. Li Duo, Vice Chairman of China Calligraphers Association, personally wrote the couplet "unparalleled city in the sea, the first state in resources" for Haifeng Tower; Mr. Zhao Puchu, Chairman of the Chinese Buddhist Association, happily inscribed the monument of "Sea Wind Tower".

Haifeng Tower is a symbol of the splendid culture of Emperor Wu, and there are many legends about her. There are also Manjusri Bodhisattva's Wudi Xiuzang Relic, Buddha Pagoda, and Liu Yong's candied jujube play Little Shenyang Zhixiu Sea Breeze Pagoda. Among them, the most popular is the legend of Manjusri Bodhisattva "Emperor Wu rests in peace and hides relics". According to legend, Manjusri Bodhisattva lectured on Wutai Mountain. At that time, there was no spring water in Wutai Mountain, the mountain was not covered with green, there were few birds in the sky, and animals on land were extinct. Manjusri Bodhisattva was born with the heart of Purdue, so she wanted to use the water of the East China Sea to dispel the heat of Wutai Mountain, so that the barren hills were green, the ditches were green, the pine trees flourished and the flowers and fruits were fragrant. Therefore, Manjusri Bodhisattva came to the East China Sea and borrowed a "cool stone" from the Dragon King. On the way back to Wutai Mountain, she passed through the ancient city of Dicheng, and suddenly felt that the wind was blowing slightly. The bright sunshine reflected the realm of flowers and birds in Ying Ying, and she felt a sense of floating into the fairy, so she sat down to rest. I think: although it is not a famous mountain or a great river, it is also a beautiful place for Buddhists. Why not put the relics in the soil to appreciate the compassion of the Buddha and the beautiful scenery here? Then he took the Buddhist relic Guanyin, read a spell, raised the sand and buried the Buddhist relic in the ground. During the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism was widely spread, and the saying that Manjusri Bodhisattva "has no emperor to rest in peace and hide relics" spread to Chang 'an, Kyoto. Emperor Taizong personally appointed Weichi Gong as the supervisor to build the Tang Building in Emperor Wu. There are folk sayings of "Cangzhou Lion, Sea Breeze Tower and Iron Bodhisattva in Dongguang County", which are also called "win-win-win" in Hebei and Shandong.
