Introduction of prairie rickets
It is a traditional Chinese New Year festival custom widely spread in the Northwest China, which is so deep in folklore that there is a folk proverb "On the 23rd day of the first month, every family prays for prairie rickets." This custom is found in Yinchuan, Lingwu, Yanchi, Zhongning, Zhongwei, and Guyuan in Ningxia, Pingliang, Qingyang, and Baiyin in Gansu, and Binxian in Shaanxi, and Yichuan in Yan'an City in northern Shaanxi, and has also been passed down in Puzhou and Jixian in Shanxi, and in Caozhou in Shandong Province.
