Those beautiful Japanese flower names

When I first got to know Ajisai and Cao Lu, I bought two bottles of colored ink named after them. The color is as beautiful as the name. Later, I learned that such a beautiful name and color were taken from more beautiful flowers.

I don't know why, the Japanese names of some flowers are actually more appropriate, elegant and attractive than the current Chinese names. Of course, many of them are related to the traditional culture of China, and some of them are probably caused by my psychological function.

English: Hydrangea

The poet Bai Letian (that is, Bai Juyi) once went to a temple. When the abbot asked him about the nameless flower in the temple, he named it Ziyang. "When planted on the altar, it will be transplanted to the Vatican sooner or later. Although the world doesn't know it, it is famous for Ajisai. " After this name spread to Japan, Japan named hydrangea after it.

During the short one-month flowering period in Ajisai, the color will change in many ways. It is not a simple red to blue or blue to green, but a pure white petal the night before, and it may become a mixture of red and green the next day. Perhaps it is such an industrious and fickle character that Junichi Watanabe named this novel about the painful game between husband and wife with Ajisai Diary.

English: Commelina communis

It often appears in Japanese paintings, costumes and ceramic decorative patterns, usually blue, white and pink. In Japanese, all kinds of flowers are often used to express colors. For example, "nightlight dew grass" means "morning dew grass", which is probably a light and refreshing blue morning light.

White dew grass, flower meditation. Powder dew grass, flower language is joy.

English: Callicarpa

Murasaki shikibu is the author of Tale of Genji, the highest peak of Japanese classical literature. Her position in Japanese literature is like a purple pearl in a family courtyard. In winter, a string of gorgeous and long bright purple beads hangs on the branches of Murasaki shikibu, which is extremely gorgeous and noble. It is said that purple represents nobility in peacetime, and it is a special color for female officials, so it is called Murasaki shikibu.

English: Morning glory ("facing the face" in ancient Japan) also refers to platycodon grandiflorum and hibiscus. )

The Japanese are called Chaoyang Yan because they bloom in the morning. China people, on the other hand, take a buffalo to thank the morning glory because some people treat chronic diseases with its seeds, and call it morning glory. What the Japanese value most is the splendor and brevity of thanking at noon, which is probably related to the Japanese mourning for things, just like there is a line in The Love of Sages: "Disappearing is also a kind of beauty."

Japanese people like to face the sun very much. At the time of the season, you can see all kinds of stationery, paper products and souvenirs facing the sun in shops everywhere. Facing the face is also a common flower in the flower path. The third purpose of "Lu Mu Hua Hua Dao" edited by Shishan is to face the face: a blue and yellow morning glory blooms freely, beautifully and gently; A few delicate rattan leaves are the lingering infatuation and twists and turns of love; Coupled with a white porcelain water tray and a bamboo flower stand, it becomes a quiet, fresh and low-key joy that people can't put down (quoted from Shen's Looking forward to the Sun).

English: gourd flower (or moonlight flower)

Opposite to the face, it is a dusk face that opens at dusk and withers at dusk.

Murasaki shikibu's Tale of Genji tells a beautiful and sad story for the fourth time. Genji's son stayed somewhere in summer and saw many white flowers on the green creeping grass in front of the shack next door, smiling narcissistically. When the waiter told him that it was a sunset glow, Genji's son sighed: "Poor thing, this is an unlucky flower. Pick one for me. " The waiter went to pick it out, not wanting a maid in the next room. She took a white paper fan on the grounds that the branches were not strong, and asked the waiter to put the flowers on the fan and present them. On the fan that came with the flowers, two poems were written: "The sunset glow is bright, and it is expected that Iraqis will be stationed in the horse." It turns out that the hostess next door is called Saixixi, and poems are given to each other. Genji's son replied to the poem "The sunset is red and smiling, just for meeting at that time." Since then, I have stirred up my mind and kept thinking about it.

Later, I finally got my wish, and the sunset glow became a sincere affection in the romantic history of Genji's son. They live in seclusion in the countryside, enjoying flowers and trees, listening to autumn insects and watching the stars and moons. But I don't know that such a beautiful time is so short, Yan Yan suddenly died of illness, and Genji's son was extremely sad. He often cries and meditates, and sighs: "That night, I fell in love with that person at first sight, just for a flower of Yan Yan. Now that I think about it, this is a sign that love can't last long. How sad! " The irreplaceable yearning for Saixixi runs through Genji's life.

In Tale of Genji, many characters are named after flowers, which coincides with their flowery character and fate.

Similar to Chao Yan and Yan Xi, they are named after the special flowering time, which can be divided into day Yan and night Yan. Sun Yan is a Japanese bowl flower, and night Yan is a moonlight flower.

English: Universe, Gesanghua

Yamaguchi Momoe has a classic song "Cherry Blossoms in Autumn", which has been sung for more than 30 years and was selected as "20th Century 100 Classic Japanese Songs". This is a song sung to my mother, expressing my daughter's memory of her mother before marriage. Yamaguchi Momoe, who grew up in a single-parent family, will naturally be particularly emotional when singing this song.

It is said that European girls often attach an autumn cherry to their love letters. A flower, loaded with many girls' thoughts in The Seeds of Love, carries expectations in shyness, hides uneasiness in joy, and there are countless question marks about "Does he love me or not?" Qiu Ying was also chosen to be dedicated to Saint Filippis Wade, the dean of an buddhist nun in Oxford. He has made great contributions to the development of this region and Oxford University, and can be said to be the patron saint of learning. There is a Tibetan legend: whoever finds eight petals of Gesanghua will find happiness. So its flower language is a girl's pure feelings, studies, or eternal happiness.

English: Ditang dialect

Because when the mountain wind is in full bloom, it is also a time of bright spring, so the mountain wind has gradually become the representative of spring in Japanese culture and is regarded as the "seasonal language" of spring. There are as many as 17 haiku songs about blowing mountains in Ji of Ye Wan, the most famous of which is Matsuo Bashō, a poet in the Edo period, who "blows mountains away, sings quietly and flies".

There are many allusions related to blowing mountains in Japan, and because of the influence of blowing mountains in Japanese culture, "blowing mountains" is also widely used as place names, names and surnames by the Japanese. The color of mountain blowing is bright yellow and bright, also called "mountain blowing color".

Speaking Japanese is the best language in group interview survey, and expressing things in Japanese has a sense of beauty, which is probably inherent in Japanese culture.

We need not underestimate ourselves. There are also many beautiful flower names in Chinese. I'll write it later.
