Peak value of carbon dioxide emission, historical opportunity and far-reaching significance behind carbon neutrality 1

Unique thinking, unique perspective, welcome everyone to pay attention to the solution.

Everyone must have watched the weekend news. Our diplomatic team issued the strongest voice of the motherland. In my first video, I mentioned that the competition for world leaders must go through the baptism of blood shed.

Looking back on modern history, we find that the emergence of leading enterprises is accompanied by the revolution of energy iteration. In the earliest England, Watt improved the steam engine and started the industrial revolution. The emerging energy represented by coal has promoted Britain's century-old glory, and the subsequent iteration of petroleum energy has promoted the United States to crush the world's steel torrent in World War II. Here is a brief introduction to the United States, because it is more representative and has influenced so far. /kloc-the rise of the United States in the second half of the 0/9th century is inseparable from its most epoch-making "crude oil system";

Rockefeller, whom we are familiar with, is a famous chaebol and big capital in the United States. In terms of production, Rockefeller founded Standard Oil Company, which controlled 95% of the American market, and once controlled 85% of the global market through price wars, hiring riffraff and bribing gangsters.

In terms of transportation, Rockefeller abandoned the popular railway transportation at that time and creatively established a huge oil pipeline, which greatly reduced the cost of oil transportation;

On the consumer side, Henry Ford (the founder of Ford Motor Company) initiated the assembly line production mode, produced the cheap Model T, and digested Rockefeller's oil cleanly.

"Efficient oil recovery and refining technology-oil pipeline-innovative automobile production line" finally formed a circular system of "production-transportation-consumption". It successfully replaced the British-led "coal system" and greatly accelerated the development of American industry. The circulatory system mentioned here is very important for economic development. Why? Because it forms a complete closed loop from production-transmission-consumption. The same is true of the internal and external economic cycle we are talking about today, which needs to be gradually improved from the source to the consumption end to form a circular system integrating production and sales. ) 1929, the United States owns 78% of the world's cars, and gasoline and fuel oil account for 85% of the total oil consumption, and its industrial civilization is far ahead.

Therefore, during World War II, when Hitler carefully cared for Romania's oil fields and Japan racked its brains to find crude oil in Indonesia, the United States could recklessly squander fuel resources and drive allied tanks and huge fleets to drown fascism. A strong and complete industrial civilization is the fundamental reason why the United States can finally stand out in World War II.

The circular system of "production-transportation-consumption" has also become the cornerstone of American oil hegemony after World War II. Even now, the strength of the United States in the field of traditional energy is still expanding. In terms of production, the United States regained the throne of the world's largest oil producer through shale oil on 20 19. Even if the Middle East is burnt, the impact on the United States is limited.

In sharp contrast, China, as a factory in the world, imports more than 200 billion US dollars of oil every year. However, if we count the oil pipeline transportation contracts signed with Russia and Iran and the ports built by Pakistan and Myanmar across the Straits of Malacca, our investment in energy security is astronomical. It is easy for everyone to understand the news that a small state-owned enterprise in Southeast Asia smashed our factory recently. Why? Because the planned oil pipeline needs to pass through this small country, and the unwilling peripheral forces want to provoke disputes and disrupt our oil pipeline plan.

Back to now, in the face of such a complete industrial civilization system in the western world, it is very difficult to break the monopoly and surpass them. So how to break through the tight encirclement and open our leading edge is the biggest proposition. Undoubtedly, leading the new energy revolution is the best way. The new energy revolution revolves around carbon neutrality, the peak of carbon dioxide emission.

The long-term goal of carbon neutrality in China is to achieve the peak of carbon dioxide emission by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.

In September 2020, the General Secretary proposed in the general debate of the 75th United Nations General Assembly that China's carbon dioxide emissions should peak in 2030 and be carbon neutral in 2060.

Peak emission of carbon dioxide —— As the name implies, it means that the emitted carbon dioxide stops increasing after reaching a peak, but enters the platform for adjustment and gradually decreases. Carbon neutrality means that the carbon dioxide you emit gradually equals the carbon dioxide you absorb. For example, it is similar to planting several trees in our farm yard. The carbon dioxide we exhale is absorbed and transformed by these trees through light and action. The significance of carbon neutrality (1) means that the era of fossil energy as the main support for development is coming to an end, and the era of transition to non-fossil energy is coming soon. 2) Defining the key time nodes of China's low-carbon development; 3) The deep meaning behind it is to realize the green and low-carbon transformation of China. Please pay attention to my follow-up videos and articles on how to expand and deal with the current investment targets. )

Realizing the peak of carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality will bring us new historical development opportunities. It provides a new track for us to compete for the leading position in the world.
