What materials are needed for movable type printing?
Movable type printing is to make movable type first. Bi Sheng's material is daubed, carved and baked with fire to make it as hard as porcelain. Step 2, typesetting: relax the mixture of incense, wax and paper scraps and the iron frame on the iron plate, arrange the picked words in the frame, heat the iron plate to melt the rosin, flatten the clay mold, cool and fix it, and make a plate. Finally, the printing method is the same as block printing. After printing, the iron plate is heated again to melt rosin and wax, and the clay plate is taken down and put away for later use. It is not difficult to see that the movable type printing invented by Bi Sheng nearly a thousand years ago has basically possessed the basic principles and operating procedures of modern movable type printing.
