The first modern yacht designed and manufactured by China was born in 1982. At that time, Fei Ping and 20 other college students who resumed the college entrance examination after the Cultural Revolution came to Hukou 93 18 Factory (now Jiangxi Jiujiang Tongfangjiang New Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.) with shipbuilding dreams. At that time, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (now divided into China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation) Hong Kong branch Hualian Shipping Trading Company took orders for four 52-foot luxury yachts, and China State Shipbuilding Corporation decided to design them by 708 and build them by 93 18 factory. Feiping's college students were lucky enough to take part in the first modern yacht designed and manufactured by China.
708 has set up a special design team for this purpose, and sent an investigation team to Europe and other advanced yacht countries for investigation. When they came back, they put their heads together and finished the final technical design of the 52-foot yacht. This yacht has a novel design, and even now it won't be too outdated. There is a liftable tail trap on the yacht, in which people can fish. This design was the latest in the world at that time. This yacht has no name and its design code is "4209".
After the technical design is completed, it will be handed over to the 93 18 factory for structural design, mold construction and final yacht manufacturing. This has also entered the most difficult moment. In 93 18 factory, chief engineer Wang is the technical director, Yu Shaosen is in charge of the hull, Yang Xueru is in charge of the turbine, Shen Naizheng is in charge of the electric steam, and Xu Gengsheng is in charge of the process.
Although the construction of this ship was a first-class master in China at that time, the construction process was very difficult. 98% of the materials used for construction are not available or do not meet the requirements in China, and even the sandpaper and glass fiber used for polishing have to be imported from Europe through Hong Kong Hualian Shipping Trading Company. Due to the underdeveloped traffic, the seller Hong Kong Hualian can only go to Jiujiang, Jiangxi once for a long time, and then return to Hong Kong after asking questions.

93 18 Factory was a military factory at that time, and its management was very strict. Because it was the first time to manufacture FRP molds, the surface smoothness was somewhat lacking, so Fei Ping and two workers polished the paint by hand, and their hands were bleeding and they continued to work.
Stainless steel doors and windows start with profiles, the horseshoe seat of railings is polished, and the swimming platform elevator is processed by itself. At that time, the proportion of FRP was not found, so I had to do the test myself. All the parts to be installed on the yacht are weighed one by one. "Few yacht companies are so meticulous now." The yacht power plant adopts two 300 HP Caterpillar engines, with a design speed of 18 knots and an actual speed of 20 knots.
After more than ten months of careful construction, the first boat of this type was finally manufactured at 1982. This yacht is well-made.
