Korean birthday traditions. Please translate.

In South Korea, when a child is one hundred days old, his family will hold a grand public birthday party for him. They make some rice cakes and some pastries of various colors. People often say that if these pastries are given to 100 people, the child will live longer. (The more people it is distributed to, the longer the child will live). So people will give the cakes to more people.
