Where was the alley designed?
Guangshili lane
/kloc-at the end of 0/9, another kind of alley house appeared in Shanghai. This kind of alley house was born out of the old Shikumen alley house, and its plane is a two-storey single studio. This kind of house has a low style and looks like an old house in a city in Guangdong. When it was completed, it was mostly inhabited by Guangdong residents and Japanese employees, so it was called Guangdong Lane.
Most of the early Cantonese-style alleys were built in the east of the lake, and the Eighth Generation Head built around 1900 is a typical Cantonese-style alley. Others are Jiujiang Lane, Rongshou Lane and Xinhua Li Nan.
Xinshikumen lane
The alley in the new Shikumen refers to changing the original three-bay house into single bay, double bay (one bay) or two bay, replacing the traditional vertical column with brick load-bearing wall, and the shape is no longer decorated with horse-head wall. The doorframe of Shikumen also uses artificial materials such as cutting fake stones to replace the past stones, and the walls are mostly fair-faced brick walls. Stone coupons are used on the lintel of Shikumen, and the Greek triangle or Roman semicircle is built on it, which is Chinese. In addition, the scale of Lane is larger than before, and even a building in Lane can include the whole block surrounded by urban roads.
For example, there are 5 10 houses in Sven Li, Xinzha Road, which is the largest hutong in Shanghai. Others include Baokangli on Huaihai Road, Daqing Lane on South Road, Julian Lane on Beijing West Road, Laohuile Lane on Yunnan Middle Road and Laoyuyangli on Huaihai Middle Road.

Formally, it imitates the western architectural style more than the traditional architectural style of China. All kinds of building equipment are also relatively complete. Its distribution also develops from the east to the west of the city.
Verdun Garden, Fei Xia Square, Jing 'an Villa and Yongquan Square are famous in the new hutongs.
Huayuan lane
After 1930s, the new-style alley developed further, and a higher standard garden-style alley house evolved. This kind of residence has changed from a long strip to a semi-independent one, paying attention to the environmental greening between buildings. The interior layout and appearance are close to independent private houses, and the style is mostly Spanish or modern.
