What can provide evidence for historical research?

Historical data can provide evidence for historical research.

In the 1980s, Rong Mengyuan, a famous historian in China, divided historical materials into four categories, which is generally considered to be a more comprehensive and reasonable traditional classification of historical materials. The first category is books and newspapers, including historical records, historical works, document compilation and group members outside the history department. The second category is documents, including government documents, group documents and private documents.

The third category is physical objects, including production tools, means of subsistence and relics of historical events. The fourth category is word of mouth, including memoirs, investigation records, mass legends and literary works.

Historical research methods:

1, read historical evidence:

Reading and analyzing historical materials and discovering the truth of history are the basic methods of historical research.

2, isolated evidence is not established:

In order to prove a conclusion, design experiments or look for evidence from different angles.

3, double evidence law:

It has become a recognized scientific and academic trend to consider ancient history and culture with the mutual confirmation of "new underground data" and ancient literature records.

4, interdisciplinary research:

This paper takes interdisciplinary problems as the research object, and uses multidisciplinary theories and methods to explore ways to solve problems and promote the comprehensive and coordinated development of disciplines and technologies.
