Can thyroid cancer be treated with traditional Chinese medicine?

Traditional Chinese medicine usually treats thyroid cancer by syndrome differentiation such as qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm and toxin accumulation, and yin deficiency of heart and kidney. However, there is no clear verification that thyroid cancer can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine alone. Once diagnosed as thyroid cancer, comprehensive treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine is needed to see the effect. Thyroid carcinoma can be divided into papillary carcinoma, follicular carcinoma, medullary carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma. Except undifferentiated cancer, the other three types can be surgically removed in the early stage.
