How to have a good mental health class
Mental health education activity class is a new course and an activity form for all students. Its characteristics are: taking solving problems in students' growth as the goal, organizing activities according to their psychological needs and age characteristics, taking students' activities as the center, taking students' psychological feelings and inner experiences as the center, taking students' psychological development and growth as the center, and taking students' learning as the goal to help themselves and others.
Class requirements 1. One core is to pay attention to students' psychological feelings and inner experiences, which is the core of psychological activity class. Teachers should guide students to tell their own personal experiences and inner emotional experiences and share them with other students. This requires mental health teachers to have corresponding abilities. Such as affinity with students' psychological compatibility; Have a language similar to that of students; Have keen insight and profound problem analysis ability; Have the ability to control the whole classroom; Have the professional theory and operational skills of school psychological counseling, such as communication skills such as attention and listening. Make use of appropriate opportunities to enhance students' psychological feelings and inner experiences. 2. The design of two psychological activity classes conforms to the characteristics of students' physical and mental development and psychological principles.
One is to understand the reality of students, and the psychological problems of students of different ages are different. The other is that most students face the same problem. We should internalize the relevant theories of psychology into teaching behavior. Last year, in the third mental health education and training class, Director Wang Xiuhua conducted professional training in this regard, which is also for this purpose. 3. Three Principles (1) and Activity Principles
The psychological activity class focuses on students' activities, and students mainly get direct experience. The traditional subject teaching is mainly taught by teachers, and students mainly gain indirect experience. The main purpose of psychological activity class is not to impart psychological knowledge, but to pay attention to process and method, emotional attitude and values. It is necessary to create a relaxing buffer for students, so that students can re-examine themselves, know themselves and accept themselves, and lay a foundation for their healthy development. To achieve this goal, teachers must design appropriate activities according to the characteristics of students' psychological development and the theme of activities, so that students can gain experience and feelings in participating in activities, thus changing their cognition and behavior and establishing good psychological quality.
⑵ Principle of equality: At the beginning of the 20th century, the American progressive education movement put forward a famous slogan: "Teachers should step off the platform in front of students and stand behind them." I don't comment on this sentence, but if you change your back to the middle and stand among the students, wouldn't it be in line with the students' wishes? It also truly reflects the equal status of teachers and students.
Students are the main body of psychological activity class learning, and teachers are the organizers, leaders, participants and promoters of students' learning. In subject teaching, teachers are the authority of knowledge, while students are in a relatively passive position. Psychological activity class requires teachers to put down the shelf of "dignity as a teacher" and establish a new type of teacher-student relationship of "equality, respect and friendship".
Establish a student view that students are the main body, students are valuable, students have potential, students are savvy and students can succeed. I believe that students are developing people with independent personality and dignity, their own choices and judgments, their own existence value, rich emotions, the ability to reflect on themselves and correct mistakes, and great development potential. namely
It is necessary for students to gain insights through their own personal experiences, so as to change their understanding and behavior. Teachers' responsibility to students is not to "instill" or "impart".
Don't think and solve problems for students, but help students tap their potential and learn to help themselves. Because there are many similarities between students in age, status, circumstances, interests, needs, etc., they are psychologically connected, and they are the easiest to communicate, accept and produce * * * sounds, which have great influence on each other. Therefore, teachers should be good at using self-help to help others, so as to fully mobilize students' consciousness, initiative and enthusiasm, thus improving their mental health level.
(3) the principle of participation
The degree of students' participation is an important measure of the effect of a psychological activity class. Students' psychological feelings and inner experiences are the core of psychological activity classes, and students' feelings and experiences must be obtained by participating in activities. It goes without saying that the higher the participation, the richer the students' feelings and experiences, and the better the effect of the activities. 4. Four basic modes (1) cognitive mode: This mode highlights "knowledge" and allows students to internalize external cognition into self-comprehension. For example, the skill of winning others' love taught by teacher Li Zhen in the third grade is such a model. Through several activities, let students know the three basic skills of winning the love of others: talking with others actively, praising others appropriately and worrying about others. (2) Activity mode: activity-oriented, through four links: venting, discussing, guiding and doing, namely, students' reasonable venting, expressing opinions widely, teachers' correct guidance and students' behavior changes, so that students can experience their feelings in the activities. Teacher Li Wenjie's class in No.2 Middle School is a typical activity mode. First of all, let students reasonably vent their dissatisfaction with their parents and express their views and opinions. Then the teacher will guide the students to put themselves in other's shoes, understand the parents' good intentions, build a bridge of spiritual communication, and reduce the influence of the generation gap on the healthy growth of children. (3) Training mode: focusing on thinking training, cultivating students' memory, observation, imagination and creativity, developing intelligence and cultivating ability. My observation class "Spreading the Wings of Thinking-Training of Imagination and Creativity" in the second training class and Li Wenjie's observation class "Inserting Flying Wings into Memory" in the third training class belong to this category. (4) Adjustment mode: focus on the adjustment of students' bad emotions, such as anxiety, emotional impulse, trouble and pain before the exam, so that students can learn the methods of emotional adjustment, learn emotional transformation, and face setbacks and tests confidently, positively, bravely and happily. In the third training class, Teacher Li Zhen's "Farewell to Painful Experience" is to let students learn to solve bad emotions and let them experience many methods, such as venting, transferring and self-control. 5. Five forms of activity (1) games: let students understand in the game through the game forms that students like to see and hear. This form is lively, students actively participate and it is easy to achieve results. Especially suitable for students in the lower grades of primary schools. For example, in the second grade of primary school 10 class, interlocking games can be designed to cultivate children's awareness of obeying instructions in schools, homes, roads, hospitals and other scenes. (2) Role-playing: Through relevant role-playing, learn to put yourself in others' shoes and enhance mutual understanding and communication with others. Today's two classes fully reflect this point. (3) Questionnaire survey: It can strengthen the pertinence and effectiveness of psychological activity classes and understand students' real thoughts and opinions. Such as test anxiety test, emotional stability test, inferiority test and so on. (4) Problem discussion: it is the most basic form in psychological activity class. Through group discussion, we can achieve the goal of mutual acceptance, mutual tolerance, emotional interaction and self-help. (5) Debate: If you can't speak clearly, you can't argue clearly. In the debate, students' eloquence and eloquence can be displayed, students' views and choices can be clarified, students' hobbies and tendencies can be revealed, and right and wrong can be distinguished through the collision of ideological sparks, so that external cognitive preaching can be transformed into self-knowledge. This form is suitable for senior students. For example, this form can be used at the beginning of the activity of "Fighting against Fate" in the sixth lesson of the first grade textbook. Debate whether hard work is more important to success or luck is more important to success. 6. The theme of Liuda (1) is clear: multiple links are always carried out around a theme, and the activity objectives are clear.
Some teachers design more activities, the classroom atmosphere is very warm, and students' participation is relatively high, but the effect is not good, because too many activities dilute the theme. Some activities are purely for activities, which have little to do with the theme, and there is no exchange and sharing after the activities, with little effect. Director Wang and I have listened to such a class, and its title is Starry Sky. After reading this topic, I really don't know what psychological problem he wants to solve After listening to it, I realized that this is about cultivating self-confidence. When commenting on the class, Director Wang suggested that he should become a confident little star, so that the audience can understand what your activity goal is at a glance. (2) Pay attention to practical results: Solve outstanding psychological problems among students. Such as the establishment of students' good self-awareness, the improvement of interpersonal skills, the establishment of correct values, the enhancement of emotional adjustment ability and the improvement of will quality. (3) Extensive participation: students actively participate, and teachers should pay special attention to students with inferiority and introversion, and inspire them to actively participate in activities and speak enthusiastically. Studies have shown that 90% of students who violate discipline in class are because they have no chance to be listened to, or others are unwilling to listen. Another psychologist has been listening to classes for a week. He didn't look at the teacher's teaching or the students' learning, but kept a detailed record of the number of times each student in the class was invited by the teacher to answer questions. The final statistics are surprising: underachievers are not invited as many times as some excellent students in a class in a week, and some even have no chance to express their opinions once. In fact, students who are not good at expressing, speaking and introversion actually have richer inner emotional experience and need teachers' care and attention. Our purpose is to create a good classroom atmosphere, so that these students want to speak and dare to speak, and achieve the goal of mental health of full participation and harmonious development. (4) Experience the truth: students express their inner feelings, fully expose their psychological problems, and blend scenes to make the classroom infectious. For example, The Wind after Poverty (5) has a relaxed atmosphere: students are active in thinking and speaking actively, and the classroom atmosphere is democratic and equal. The research results of psychology have revealed that the democratic atmosphere in teaching is helpful to improve students' learning efficiency and quality. Because in a democratic and equal classroom atmosphere, students are happy and relaxed, and the cerebral cortex is easy to form a dominant excitement center, with quick thinking and rich imagination, so that they can understand and grasp the nature, characteristics and significance of the cognitive object more accurately and produce a clear and complete image of the cognitive object. Students will also be more confident and actively experience and share their own psychology. (6) entertaining: let students experience and feel in the activities, and let students feel happy and relaxed.
Three, ten ways to avoid 1 a good psychological activity class and avoid two or more topics in an activity class. 2. Avoid choosing topics that students are not easy to disclose publicly or involve students' privacy.
. For example, in adolescent heterosexual communication, it is difficult to operate if students are asked to talk about puppy love. It should be achieved through individual psychological counseling. 3, to avoid the topic is too big, the goal is too empty, leading to the topic mining is not deep and opaque.
It is impossible to solve a series of psychological problems in one class. It is inappropriate to assume that we take "personality publicity" as the theme, because personality includes many contents, including personality tendency and personality psychological characteristics, while personality tendency includes needs, motives, interests, ideals, beliefs, world outlook and so on. The psychological characteristics of personality include ability, temperament and personality. Therefore, the smaller the topic, the more specific it is, and the more thorough it can be. 4. Avoid parallel activity design instead of step by step.
I attended a psychology class. In this class, the students have many activities. The students show various talents, such as piano, chess, calligraphy, paper-cutting and poetry reading. It can be said that the Eight Immortals have their own abilities when crossing the sea, but the theme of cultivating children's self-confidence has passed, which is not very profound for my excellent and capable emotional experience. 6. Avoid when students' cognition needs to be improved, teachers can't keep up and comments are not in place.
. This is very important, and it is also a test of teachers' ability to improvise. In the words of Director Wang Xiuhua, if this link is handled well, it may become a bright spot in your class. I remember the first time I attended Mr. Li Wenjie's class. At that time, their class teacher, Mr. Zhao, was also attending the class. When venting his dissatisfaction, a student stood up and said that once he was listening to a tape recorder in a self-study class and was discovered by Teacher Zhao. Mr. Zhao said, "Listen again and I'll give you two mouths."
Teacher Li Wenjie didn't deal with it in time. When commenting on the class, Director Wang said that it was a rare opportunity to communicate with teachers and students. At this time, if you invite Mr. Zhao to the front, it means that the teacher didn't really hit you. Actually, Mr. Zhao didn't mean to hit you. No teacher loves his students just as parents love their children. He just wants to remind you to make good use of the self-study class. Isn't that what Miss Zhao is like? Then let Mr. Zhao talk about it, so that this contradiction will not be solved in class? 7. Avoid psychological isolation of teachers.
. Teachers should open their hearts, communicate with students heart to heart and blend their feelings. 8. Avoid self-abased and introverted students hiding their true feelings because they dare not speak.
. At this time, I remembered the wonderful speech made by Huo Maozheng, a national excellent teacher in Beijing No.2 Experimental Primary School, at the teacher's ethics report meeting. She has been engaged in primary education for 60 years. She has never been angry with a student, never punished a student, never complained to a student's parents, and never let a student fall behind. She summed up the eight-character education law "encourage, appreciate and participate" with her lifelong efforts.
Expectation not only encourages every student to make progress, appreciates every student's talent, allows every student to actively participate, and expects every student to succeed. She always thinks that her students "everyone has talent, everyone has talent." She said that the teacher's love is sunshine, which can melt the hard ice; It is spring rain, which can make hay sprout; Love is a kind of magic, which can turn stone into gold. She often devotes more love to those underachievers and those students who need help. I think these eight words are exactly what our mental health workers are pursuing.
William Sydney Porter, an American writer, told a story in his novel The Last Leaf: In the ward, a dying patient saw a tree outside his room. In the autumn wind, the leaves fell one by one, and the patient looked at the fallen leaves in front of him, and his body went from bad to worse. Every day, she said, "When the leaves fell, I died." When an old painter learned about it, he drew a leaf with green veins with a colored pen and hung it on a branch. The last leaf did not fall, and the patient miraculously survived. From this, I deeply feel that if our teachers have hope for every student, especially the underachievers, then they will not let us down!
Therefore, we should pay special attention to those students who feel inferior and introverted and dare not speak in class. 9. Avoid the lack of positive orientation in class because students speak too casually.
. Teachers must improve their ability to control and standardize the whole classroom and avoid personal attacks, slander and swearing. If it appears, the teacher should give positive guidance in time.
For example, Director Wang and I first listened to Li Zhen's class in the third grade of primary school. During the performance, a classmate who went on stage to play with a book was dragged away by his deskmate and said these two words: "Who was so wicked to take my book, damn it." At the end of the performance of Shameless Things,
Teacher Li Zhen said so. Those two students did very well just now. The students applauded and encouraged them. According to her, it would be more perfect if uncivilized language was removed. Don't you think so? It can be said that both of them appreciate their performance, and they also gently point out their shortcomings, which are easy for students to accept, and the consequences will be very bad if they change to a strict way. The classroom is alive, and anything can happen, which requires teachers to improvise and be sure to grasp the guidance. 10. Avoid teachers overstepping their authority and ignoring students' thoughts and feelings, instead of students' choices and judgments.
I also listened to Li Zhen's lecture. Was the first one popular with you? Teacher Li Zhen handled it like this. She divided the three alternative answers to each question into one, two or three points according to adult standards. For example, in the first question, my classmate borrowed the dictionary you are using and chose to tell him that I still need it, so I got one point. Choose to explain to him that he is using it and promise to lend him two points after using it; If you choose to lend it to him immediately, you would rather not use it for the time being and get three points. In the end, people with more total scores get the love of their classmates, people with medium scores get more love, and people with less scores don't like love. To tell the truth, I was inclined to this view, but director Wang Xiuhua said it was impossible. There is no reason for us to set standards for students. We should consider students' thoughts and feelings and cannot replace students' choices and judgments. Students think the second one is the best and very reasonable. Practice has proved that Director Wang is right. I hope our mental health teachers here will pay attention to this in future teaching.
