What kind of classroom do we need?

The new school year is just around the corner, and teachers and students are preparing for re-entering the classroom. It is necessary to brush my own ideas here, considering the standard requirements and actual situation of the classroom I have seen over the years.

In the traditional classroom, the teacher mainly tells the students, and the teacher gives them lectures, except the exercise class. At that time, experienced teachers can bring a piece of chalk into the classroom. Now the leader criticizes some young teachers for playing big cards, saying that he wants to fool the students with a piece of chalk. This practice has long been spurned by leaders and has no place on campus.

The classroom reform has never stopped. The classroom mode is not the teacher's lecture, but learning as the main part, supplemented by teaching, and the classroom should fully reflect the students' dominant position. Some schools even stipulate that teachers can only speak for five to ten minutes, and let students learn the rest of the time.

The latest classroom model needs to be discussed. If there are school rules, it is not a qualified class without discussion. Where there is discussion, there are a series of links related to it. There must be exhibitions, reviews, grades, evaluations, awards, and so on. In a class, teachers and students have to spend considerable time and energy on it. The classroom looks very lively, but I don't know what the final effect will be.

Some schools have also summarized the prescribed actions of various classes, such as how to teach new classes, how to teach exercises, how to review classes, and how to comment on lectures. There are strict routines and requirements. If it's just macro-regulation, there's no harm, but some schools have very strict requirements, all subjects are in this routine, and some are rigid and rigid. And as far as a subject is concerned, different chapters and the same class type can also have different teaching methods, which vary from person to person and depend on the content. You should not stick to formulas.

The introduction and use of new technologies, new equipment and new means such as multimedia have injected new vitality into our classroom. It should be noted that these are just means, and we must never steal their thunder. Some schools stipulate that tablets and courseware must be used in class, which is really a modern version of "notebook computer" and "dogma", which is really rigid.

What kind of classroom do we need? I think our class needs independent thinking activities. This is the most neglected content at present. What the classroom lacks most now is silence, and learning is more about personal behavior. Students need to understand, analyze, infer, summarize, digest and internalize what they have learned through their own thinking, so that what they have learned becomes a part of their own knowledge system.

Our classroom needs a violent collision of ideas. The learning process needs to be completed by both teachers and students, and the teacher's guidance and explanation should collide with students' thinking and understanding, which will better promote students' academic progress. This kind of collision can be completed through questions and answers between teachers and students and between students.

Our class needs full display and communication. This is the best link at present. Nowadays, students have a strong desire to express themselves, and they are willing to show their learning achievements. What needs attention is the teacher's control of the classroom rhythm. What we often see is that students' display and communication is like a mountain of water, with no edge. But the teacher needs to guide them back hard.

Our classroom needs necessary consolidation training. It is not enough to talk without practice. A lot of knowledge just needs timely practice to consolidate. Some are in-class exercises, and some are just simple exercises, depending on the actual situation. At this time, of course, there is no need for the teacher to be repetitive.

Our classroom needs rational evaluation and summary. Some teachers think this content is dispensable, but it is not. There must be a summary in a chapter and a summary in a stage, which is a knowledge system and helps students master the subject comprehensively.

All these courses should not be bound by an established framework and then supervised, checked and evaluated by a bunch of people. Teachers are different and students are different. The same content can be taught in different ways. If the rules are unified again, the class will be gone before it starts. If you have to be uniform, just let the robot come up and keep it intact.
