From 65438 to 0950, the Library of the General Administration of Publishing of the Central People's Government began to compile new weekly bibliographies reflecting the publishing trends. National general bibliography

In March 2006, The New Book of China (English version) sponsored by the Information Center of the General Administration of Press and Publication (China Map Library) was published. This magazine is the working magazine of China book promotion plan implemented by the State Council Foreign Publicity Office and General Administration of Press and Publication. It is the first English quarterly in China to publicize China's publications to the outside world, and later changed to bimonthly.
