Which countries are America's allies?

American allies include Japan, South Korea, Israel, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Germany and Qatar. In international relations, there are two definitions of alliance. Broadly speaking, alliance refers to formal or informal security cooperation arrangements between sovereign countries. In other words, as long as countries undertake mutual security obligations, it constitutes a true alliance, no matter what form this obligation relationship takes.

According to this definition, the small partners of the United States cover about 60 countries around the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Israel, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Germany, Qatar, etc., and are all allies of the United States in a broad sense.

Characteristics of the United States

The United States is rich in natural resources, and the total proven reserves of mineral resources rank first in the world. Coal, oil, natural gas, iron ore, potassium salt, phosphate, sulfur and other mineral reserves rank among the top in the world. Other minerals mainly include copper, lead, molybdenum, uranium, bauxite, gold, mercury, nickel, potassium carbonate, silver, tungsten, zinc, aluminum and bismuth. Strategic mineral resources such as titanium, manganese, cobalt and chromium mainly rely on imports.

The forest area is about 4.4 billion mu, with a coverage rate of 33%. The United States has proven crude oil reserves of 20.68 billion barrels, ranking 13 in the world, proven natural gas reserves of 7.716 trillion cubic meters, ranking fifth in the world, and proven coal reserves of 49,654.38 billion tons, ranking first in the world.
