The Basic Stances of the Knife
The basic stances of Wushu Long Fist are Punching Fist, Servant's Step Swinging Pat, and Five Basic Steps.
Punching Fist: stand with open step, fist upward, and hold both fists at the waist. The right fist from the waist forward to punch, turn the waist, shoulder, the right fist forward internal rotation punch, force to the fist surface.
Servant Step Swinging Pat; a classic movement of the Long Fist, often seen in Long Fist routines, and an important movement for practicing shoulder joint flexibility.
Steps: Bow step, horse step, false step, rest step, servant step.
