What is the networking mode of the network?

There are three common networking modes: broadband router networking mode, wireless broadband router networking mode, and dual network card interconnection networking mode.

Transmission distance characteristics of optical interface board: In Optix155/622h (Metro1000) equipment, even the same optical board has its corresponding model for different transmission distances. Therefore, when networking, we should choose the corresponding type of single board according to the actual transmission distance to prevent the phenomenon that the received optical power is lower than the receiving sensitivity or the optical power is overloaded.

Network structure:

The basic network structure includes ring network and chain network. Because the ring network has good self-healing ability, it should be established as far as possible as long as the routing distribution allows. Because of the distribution of routes, the network along railways and highways mainly adopts chain network. This networking method is relatively simple, and the number of optical fibers used is small, but it is usually unable to protect services.

However, if conditions permit, we can protect the business by transforming the chain network into a ring network. As long as the distance between stations in the chain network is not too long (generally, the maximum distance between three stations is ≤80km) and there are enough line optical cables (four optical fibers), we also suggest that the chain network be built into a ring network.
