Mucai Pavilion is a hexagonal cone-shaped roof pavilion, which is famous for Su Xiaoxiao, a famous prostitute in Qiantang. It is said that Su Xiaoxiao and Ruan _ once had a secret love here, and Su Xiaoxiao's tomb was once located here. After the reconstruction, there are 12 couplets written by calligraphers for Su Xiaoxiao in Mucai Pavilion.

Su Xiaoxiao is a geisha in Qiantang, Southern Qi Dynasty. She is smart and beautiful. On one occasion, when she was traveling by car, she met Ruan, a gifted scholar, on the Bai Causeway, and they fell in love at first sight. Su Xiaoxiao sang a poem, "I rode a tanker, and I straddled a green horse; Where to knot, Xiling pine and cypress. " The Xiling in the poem is now Xiling Bridge. Ruan was sent back to China by his father, who was an official in Beijing, and never returned to Hangzhou.

Su Xiaoxiao knew a lot about self-love, but he was bullied by officials and gentry and died of depression. After her death, Bao Ren, who became famous for her silver, was buried next to Xiling Bridge as the secretariat of Huazhou (Zhenjiang). Now, the mausoleum has been destroyed, leaving only the hexagonal pavilion with cinnabar railings for people to mourn. Now it's Mucai Pavilion.
