The whole village is dominated by ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties. This village is paved with bluestone slabs. The ancient buildings are backed by green hills, facing Qingxi and paddy fields, and surrounded by green spaces. The village blends with the elegant natural scenery of Xiushui Castle Peak. The existing ancient buildings cover an area of about 16000 square meters. Most ancient houses are white walls and tiles.
The overall color effect is mainly black and white, giving people an elegant aesthetic feeling. Seen from a distance, these ancient houses are a large blank powder wall in appearance. There are several small holes and windows embedded in the powder wall, which form the contrast effect between the whole and the part, and between the surface and the point, and embody the meaning of "Taoism is natural". The interior and exterior walls focus on the architectural modeling of the horse head wall and gables, especially the eaves of the horse head wall fly up, which outlines the outline of the wall and the blue sky and increases the rhythmic beauty of the space. The notable feature of Sixi dwellings is that there is a courtyard in the house, and the commercial culture is perfectly reflected in the courtyard building.
In the embrace of mountains and rivers, Yancun is backed by "Torch Mountain". Sixi River passes through the village, and the whole rock village is like a bamboo raft nestled next to Sixi River.
