The second time on the site, we mainly learned the practice of waterproofing. On the roof we saw sbs modified bitumen waterproofing membrane and cold primer oil. The odor of these materials is very bad, we feel uncomfortable as soon as we go up to the roof. When we first went up, we saw the master workers laying the waterproofing membrane, and they were baking it while laying it. We have seen a video about waterproofing before, and the teacher also told us that baking the membrane with fire can make the membrane and the floor tightly bonded to prevent the membrane from bulging and affecting the waterproofing effect. I think this method should be used for higher water table, geological structure is more unstable areas, our hometown kind of sand and gravel geological conditions rarely support the pit.

Although this internship is not long, but contact with a lot of previously unknown things. A lot of knowledge can not be learned from books. Through this internship, I have strengthened the practical ability to leave the books and come to the site to really feel the necessity of the internship, but also make me realize that the basic knowledge is not solid. In the course of the internship I found that our profession has a lot of room for exploration and development. During the internship I saw the unnecessary waste of construction materials, which is related to the workers' awareness of saving on the one hand, and the co-ordinated management of the supervisors on the other hand, if we can effectively save resources, then perhaps we can generate more economic benefits.
