What are the precautions for TCM health care?

Traditional Chinese medicine health view

TCM health preservation mainly includes prevention view, holism view, balance view and dialectical view.

1. Prevention before illness, care before old age.

2. Heaven and man correspond to each other, with both form and spirit.

3. Adjust Yin and Yang to remedy the disadvantages.

4. Be dynamic, regular, harmonious and moderate.

Misunderstanding of TCM health preservation

Myth 1: Health care needs to be supplemented.

Many people choose all kinds of so-called precious Chinese medicines, such as velvet antler, cordyceps, American ginseng and Korean ginseng. Or soak in water or wine for tonic. These drugs are indeed valuable and have nourishing effects, but people just ignore one thing, that is, whether the body needs them. Most healthy people don't need it, just like a tire full of gas. If you keep pumping up, I think the result is already obvious.

Many people will say that I am sub-healthy. It is true that at present, due to the increasing pressure from society and family, as well as the comprehensive effects of environmental pollution, food additives and other factors, many people's physical functions are in a sub-health state, and there will be various symptoms such as fatigue, sweating, insomnia and dreaminess. It is very correct to choose Chinese medicine. But many people often think that fatigue is qi deficiency, sweating is yin deficiency or qi deficiency, and insomnia and dreaminess is qi deficiency or blood deficiency.

Myth 2: Chinese medicine has no side effects.

With people's in-depth understanding of the side effects of various drugs and biological agents, more and more people choose traditional Chinese medicine. With the promotion of many medical products, the side effects of traditional Chinese medicine are almost ignored, giving people an understanding that "traditional Chinese medicine is pure natural and harmless".

We should know that Chinese medicine under the guidance of Chinese medicine theory is medicine, and one of the most important basic ideas of its treatment is "treating bias with bias", that is, using the bias of drugs to adjust the deviation of human function, so drugs themselves have therapeutic effects. Although according to modern pharmacological research, most traditional Chinese medicines are not toxic to liver and kidney, it does not mean that there are no side effects.

Myth 3: Non-drug therapy is infinite.

At present, there are many health books about non-drug therapy on the market, but the unlimited expansion of the role of non-drug therapy also has side effects, which may cause harm to health. Cupping therapy, for example, is a treasure of traditional medicine, which uses negative air pressure to make the body partially congested and inflamed, thus achieving the purpose of preventing and treating diseases. Just like our Chinese medicine, it is a good method in itself, but its function has its indications, that is to say, there are maladjusted diseases and even contraindications.

Traditional Chinese medicine's basic understanding of health is "harmony between qi and blood" and "harmony between yin and yang", which can not be achieved simply by knocking on meridians; On the other hand, Chinese medicine believes that qi and blood have their birth, growth, transformation and storage time, not only in the four seasons, but also in one day. Inappropriate stimulation of qi and blood, just like exercising when it is time to sleep, will disrupt the "work and rest time" of qi and blood and cause harm to the body.

Myth 4: Diet therapy is suitable for everyone.

Dietotherapy is a treasure of China's civilized food culture for thousands of years, which plays an important role in our disease prevention and health care. At present, various dietotherapy health centers have emerged. Looking at their recipes, most of them are the synthesis of various nourishing ingredients and medicinal materials such as "turtle, sea cucumber, abalone, medlar, black-bone chicken", and of course, there are also drugs such as "purslane, purple-backed begonia, taro, yam" that clear away heat and detoxify. Although there are many styles, they are generally simply pieced together and cannot be carried out according to the physique of consumers.

Common TCM health care

Diet and health: A reasonable diet can regulate essence, correct the deviation of viscera and yin, prevent diseases and prolong life. According to the theory of TCM health preservation, diet should be based on the principle of "five grains for nourishment, five fruits for help, no hidden food for benefit, and five dishes for filling", and pay attention to the harmony of five flavors, otherwise it will cause diseases due to unbalanced nutrition, biased physique and dysfunction of viscera.

Keep fit: Chinese medicine believes that "people should work hard on their bodies, and all diseases cannot be achieved." Therefore, the ancients explored the forms of massage, Qigong, Tai Ji Chuan, Baguazhang and Wuqinxi in medical treatment and life practice, so as to keep fit and prolong life. Of course, if people are overworked, it is easy to cause "strain", which is also commonly known as "five strains", that is, long-term blood injury, long-term lying injury, long-term flesh injury, long-term bone injury and long-term muscle injury.

Ningxin health care: Ningxin health care plays an important role in traditional Chinese medicine. The ancients believed that God was the master of life activities. Keeping quiet and psychologically balanced can keep innocent vitality, make the five internal organs peaceful, help prevent diseases, improve health and prolong life. On the contrary, it will lead to emotional internal injury, anger hurting the liver, happiness and sadness, thinking hurting the spleen, worrying about the lungs, fearing hurting the kidneys, and even inducing various physical and mental diseases.

Regulating qi and keeping healthy: the vitality of human body has the functions of metaplasia, promoting blood circulation and consolidating blood, warming and nourishing whole body tissues, resisting pathogenic factors and enhancing the function of viscera. Many factors, such as unbalanced nutrition, improper work and rest, and emotional imbalance, can cause yuan-qi deficiency, depression, stagnation and inversion, and then cause pathological changes. The method of regulating qi and keeping in good health in TCM advocates a series of measures, such as careful living, adapting to the four seasons, abstaining from overwork, preventing excessive relaxation, regulating diet, harmonizing five flavors, regulating seven emotions, saving words and learning qi, and regulating breath, to regulate vitality, eliminate diseases and prolong life.

Eight taboos of TCM health preservation

First, raise when you are old.

Many people think that health care is for the elderly, and they don't need health care when they are young. In fact, health care should start with dolls, just as machines should be maintained from a new era. Once the part is damaged, it will be too late to maintain health, and the effect will be greatly reduced.

Second, you can only be treated if you are sick.

Many people don't have a physical examination until they get sick. In fact, health care should be based on prevention, and regular inspection and maintenance should be carried out at ordinary times.

Third, eat when you are hungry.

Many people don't eat breakfast or eat on time because they are not hungry. Physiology tells us that food is completely emptied after staying in the stomach for 4 to 5 hours. When you feel hungry, gastric juice has begun to "digest" gastric mucosa. Regular diet and balanced nutrition are the essential material basis for health care.

Fourth, drink water only when you are thirsty.

It is the habit of many people not to drink water at ordinary times and to drink water only when they are thirsty. In fact, the effect of water on human metabolism is more important than food. Feeling thirsty means that the body is short of water to some extent. Clinically, it is found that people who often don't drink water are more likely to suffer from constipation and urinary calculi than those who have drinking habits.

Fifth, arrangements are urgently needed.

Many people don't have the habit of defecating regularly, and even feel puzzled, preferring to hold it, which is extremely harmful to health. Urine stays in the body for too long, which is easy to cause constipation or excessive bladder filling. Toxic substances in feces and urine are absorbed by the human body, leading to "self-poisoning".

Six, sleepy to sleep.

About13 of a person's life is spent in sleep, which is an important physiological process in metabolic activities. Only by developing good sleep habits and ensuring no less than 7 hours of sleep every day can we maintain the normal operation of the biological clock. But some people don't go to bed on time, but they are unrestrained, don't sleep, and even persist when they are sleepy. This is not conducive to protecting the brain and is more likely to cause insomnia. In the long run, it will damage life.

Seven, tired to have a rest.

It is the habit of many people to rest after being tired. In fact, fatigue is a feeling of physical fatigue, and there is no time to rest. We should form the habit of taking a rest when we are not tired, and don't overdraw our physical and mental strength.

Eight, only when you are fat.

Overeating, overnutrition and lack of exercise are the main causes of obesity, which can be prevented. Now many people eat and drink without restraint, and fat people can be seen everywhere. When they are fat, they tend to get sick. Besides, there is no ideal way to lose weight at present. Therefore, losing weight is not as good as preventing obesity. Don't choke yourself on such a foolish thing as losing weight.
