The influence of ancient Greek art on later generations

The artistic achievements of ancient Greece are mainly reflected in architecture and sculpture. The ancient Greeks created the "classical" style. Their marble columns and lifelike statues can be found in public buildings in every metropolis in the world today. They naturally became a part of our lives, but they were the achievements and inventions of the ancient Greeks.

The ancient Greeks had profound attainments in philosophy, poetry, architecture, science, literature, drama, mythology and many other aspects. After the destruction of ancient Greece, this cultural heritage was destructively continued by the ancient Romans, thus becoming the spiritual source of the whole western civilization.
