What ancient women wore in ancient Greece

The clothing of the ancient Greeks, which differed little in gender or age, was usually simple in form, consisting of a few pieces of fabric around the body, fastened with a brooch or button knot. The whole of their characteristic costume was called 'kitsune'.

Because of the differences in the kimono and the method of wearing it in different regions, it can be categorized into two types: the Taurik style and the Ionian style. Constructed from a single piece of fabric, the Taurik style is a knee-length, short-sleeved, corseted tunic, rectangular in shape, with its long side greater than the height of the wearer and twice as wide as the width of a straightened arm, fingertip to fingertip. It is made of soft sheepskin, mostly purple, red or blue. When worn, the long remaining part is folded upwards so that the rectangle is folded in half and draped around the body pleats on the left side, the waist and chest are fastened to the shoulders with buckles and pins, and the chest is slightly suspended by a belt, with holes on each side for the arms to reach out. As the top of the belt pulls it out to shorten the length of the garment, it creates a wide smock. The arms are exposed, and the right side is spread out and not connected, in order to facilitate movement. Instead of digging a hole in the center of the fabric, unlike the through-hole garments, it takes full advantage of the fixation of the pins. It places the folds on one side and leaves the other side open, so that the slightest breeze can blow it up. The Ionian style is a knee-length, short-sleeved tunic with a waist, and the upper body of the kimono is not folded outward, but is simply tied at random with a belt to tie up the long, loose garment. There is more than one pin on each shoulder, and the number of pins varies to form a natural sleeve shape. Most of the pins are metal, small in size, with a wide variety of styles and fine additions, which in itself is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship and decoration. There is also a combination of the Taurik and Ionian styles, or to reveal the waistband, to show the shape of the body; or tie two belts, one tied under the breast or waist, one tied at the waist crotch, so that the fabric between the two belts puffed up, appearing a variety of unexpected changes; or try to raise the clothes to shorten the length of the clothes, to facilitate the activities; some men wear the base at the same time, will be the fabric diagonally in the chest tie, that is, one end of the shoulders, the other end of the chest, the other end of the chest, the other end of the chest, the other end of the chest.
