What influence does Shennong's Herbal Classic have on later generations of Chinese medicine?
Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, written about 17800 years ago, contains many contents with scientific value, reflecting the knowledge of drugs accumulated by Chinese medicine through a lot of practice at that time, which is very remarkable. For the first time, Shennong Herbal Classic systematically summarized the scattered knowledge of drugs before Qin and Han Dynasties. It has always been regarded as a classic work of pharmacology with annotations. Up to now, it is still an important reference book for learning Chinese medicine. Among them, 158 drugs have been selected in China People's Pharmacopoeia 1977 edition, which has far-reaching influence.
