Maintenance of gearbox

Common problems in gearbox maintenance are as follows:

1. gearbox oil leakage: oil seeps from gearbox housing or oil pan. One reason is due to the aging of seals and poor sealing; Another reason is that the shell has sand holes, which is caused by poor manufacturing technology. The transmission needs to be replaced.

2. The oil inlet screen of the gearbox is blocked, the oil circuit leaks seriously, and the oil pump is damaged: the impact and sudden impact of gear shifting during driving are also common faults of the automatic gearbox, which may be caused by the dirty oil in the gearbox, so the gearbox should be cleaned regularly.

3. The gearbox slips, the acceleration is weak, and the gearbox is flooded: when the car is driving, the engine idles during the acceleration of the fuel filler door, and the speed cannot be increased, making the whole car feel weak. This phenomenon is mostly caused by the burning of clutch plates.

Due to external reasons, the gearbox cannot work normally. This may be because there is oil or water in the water tank entering from the ventilation cap of the gearbox, which must be noticed and repaired in time.

4. The valve body of the transmission is faulty. When the vehicle shifts gears in use, there will be obvious vibration or engine idling when the vehicle accelerates or decelerates, and the acceleration is weak. A gear shift fault is usually a transmission gear shift fault. For the transmission failure caused by the valve body, it is recommended to replace the valve body.

5. Transmission fault alarm indicator. You can restart for a short time and return to normal, or you can always shift gears. In general, the gearbox fault alarm can detect the fault through the computer.

When the vehicle is in use, the gear light on the instrument is on or the information desk prompts that the gearbox is faulty, and the vehicle will have a shift impact, indicating that the gearbox is faulty and the system is in emergency mode, which requires inspection and maintenance.
