What are the challenges facing the development of cold chain logistics industry at present?

Objectively speaking, compared with developed countries such as Europe and America, China's cold chain logistics industry started late. To achieve sound and rapid development of the industry, there are still three obstacles to be overcome:

1, cold chain infrastructure construction is not perfect.

Taking cold storage as an example, the problem of low capacity of cold storage in China is still outstanding. The data shows that the total capacity of cold storage in China reached 65.438+00.742 billion cubic meters in 2065.438+06, ranking third in the world, while the per capita capacity of cold storage in China was upside down. In 20 16, the per capita cold storage capacity in the world was 0.2 cubic meters, while the per capita cold storage capacity in countries with high development level of cold chain logistics was as high as 0.96 cubic meters, while that in China was only 0. 143 cubic meters. At the same time, the cold chain infrastructure in China's coastal areas is relatively distributed, but the cold chain resources in the central and western regions, which undertake most of China's fresh agricultural products wholesale transactions, are scarce.

Undeniably, the initial investment cost of cold chain logistics infrastructure is huge, and the profitability of this investment is always low before the scale effect is formed. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve rapid development and perfection only by private capital. The experience of developed countries tells us that in the early stage of development, most of them are directly invested by the government to build large-scale cold chain logistics infrastructure such as cold storage, but China still has a lot of work to do in this regard.

2. There is no uniform standard for the cold chain market.

The system of laws, regulations and standards related to cold chain logistics in China is not perfect, and it lacks the necessary industry standards and supervision mechanism. In addition, the types of goods transported in the cold chain are complex, and the standardization requirements for cold storage and vehicles vary greatly from place to place, which is also an obstacle to the establishment of standards in the cold chain industry. The essence of cold chain is to reduce costs through intensification and standardization, so as to achieve profitability. Therefore, the production, processing, packaging and policies of front-end enterprises are in urgent need of standardization and standardization.

3. The degree of cold chain informatization needs to be improved.

Generally speaking, compared with developed countries, all aspects of cold chain logistics in China still lack systematic, standardized and coherent operation, which leads to serious "broken chain" phenomenon and high cold chain corrosion rate. Under the new retail boom, the development of cold chain logistics should be further empowered by emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, and then through the transformation and upgrading of technology integration, information systematization, equipment intelligence and intensive operation, efficiency will be improved and costs will be reduced.
